Lilly Pulitzer Maxi Dress

I have been on the HUNT for a maxi dress for years. I try them on all the time… Striped, plain navy, patterned, florals, fitted, more flowy. While in Florida, I kicked my hunt up another notch. I really think maxi dresses are perfect for summer (hello rooftop dinners!) and my closet was seriously missing one.
One after another. There was always something wrong with them, but I refused to give up. During my second, yes second, trip to the new Lilly Pulitzer store in Tampa… I saw this beautiful maxi dress hanging up. While I was originally thinking a navy and white striped maxi was the way to go, I really loved how unique the umbrella stripes were. Fingers crossed, I went into the dressing room.
I think it was meant to be. Perfect!
I already have a couple of trips and dinner plans that I want to wear this too. For cooler nights, how adorable would a little denim jacket look or a gauzy scarf for beachy weddings.

That print is fantastic! Navy and white is one of my favorite color combinations for summer and the added interest of the umbrella design is gorgeous. I am definitely a maxi dress fan, my current favorite is a plain navy with some draping details at the waist.

I am so in the same boat on the maxi dress hunt! I just found a black and white stripe tank dress at J.Crew and I think it might be love. I love the print on that Lilly though- I've been loving their romper in that print!
You always look amazing in your pictures, but you look 100% like a model in these photos! That dress was totally made for you.
