Afternoons in the Park

One of the best things about living on the Upper East Side is being so close to Central Park. It’s a quick walk (we’re a few avenues to the east) and it’s like entering another universe. Definitely does not feel like NYC, except for the fact that it’s, well, Central Park. It’s been really crowded lately, but Garrett and I found a hidden little spot that’s almost never occupied. We’ve been taking Teddy there to play fetch almost every day and I can’t even begin to tell you what an hour outside, with real grass, can do for this city girl’s mindset.
Playing frisbee-fetch with Teddy is the best way to tire him out before bedtime and I personally just love perching myself on a blanket (or just the grass). Even though I’m allergic to something outside (likely the grass in all honesty) and break out in hives every night, it’s so worth it. The three of us are just the happiest out there. I mean, look at that little guy’s face below and tell me he’s not having the best time ever?
(And can we talk about this bucket bag? I’ve been carrying really small bags this year, but there’s something about this big bucket bag that I can’t get over. Books, Teddy’s toys, water bottles, my usual necessities… it all fits. Maybe one day I’ll share my embarrassing bucket bag story…)
Lilly Pulitzer Christine Dress (size up at least one size, I’m wearing a 2) // Bucket Bag (c/o) // Wedge Jack Rogers // Monogram Necklace // Bangle (similar) + Vintage Pearl Bracelet (similar)

Usually when you go to places, there are either a bunch of buildings or bunch of trees, but hardly ever both. And that's what I love about NYC–it has both! I can already imagine my friends and I playing a mini game of ultimate and having our dogs running frantically around us trying to join in 😛 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

That looks like so much fun! And I agree, Central Park really does make you feel like you're in an entirely different place. I especially love the view of the park from the top of the Rockefeller Center – it's crazy to see a huge rectangle of green surrounded by the city!

It's awesome finding those little hidden-away spots that don't seem to be well-known by many other people! Where did you get your blanket? It's a beautiful colour!
