Cape Cod was the perfect little getaway. Garrett and I made the drive out to Cape Cod on Wednesday morning. There was just no way the trip could have been any better. The weather was perfect and because we were there during the middle of the week it wasn’t too crowded.
We stayed at the
Chatham Bars Inn and I cannot recommend the hotel enough. I had looked into renting a cottage, but because we weren’t staying too long and it was just the two of us, a hotel made a lot more sense. I
love staying in hotels. I’d move into one like Eloise if I could. Although, I’m not snobby about hotels, Chatham Bars Inn was Fancy. In a fun, let’s-have-a-special-trip kind of way. A gorgeous lobby, beautiful grounds, the cutest rooms and cottages, private beach access, and little cabanas and umbrellas and chairs everywhere to take in the views.
The Cape ended up being the best escape from the city. Nothing like clean, fresh air by the water. We rolled the windows down and just breathed it all in. It was a
little chilly, especially down by the water. I’m glad I brought
my favorite cable knit sweater (on sale because it’s summer!). I put it on and took it off throughout the day.
I think we are definitely going to need another trip out to Chatham– I loved the whole area. Oh, and
the house-peeping was unreal.
Talk about motivation to work harder…
If you could go somewhere for an overnight getaway, where would you want to go?
You're positively glowing in these pics! I haven't been to Cape Cod but it looks fantastic (and a little cold weather doesn't sound so bad!). In terms of a weekend getaway, I really want to check out Atlanta, New Orleans, or San Francisco!!

The pattern of your dress is sooo lovely! If I could go somewhere for an overnight getaway, I would chose Sonoma, California. It's a charming little town with great eateries and landscapes.

Are you a model? If you aren't, you should seriously consider it! You're gorgeous and photo amazingly. I love your blog. <3
My husband and I are relocating to Boston soon and Cape Cod will only be an hour and a half away. I can't wait to visit there!
These pics are great – your hair looks amazing too!! Love the outfit. 🙂 I'd love to head over to Ocean House at Watch Hill in RI sometime… I'm a sucker for hotels too. 🙂
I love Cape Cod! It's one of the few places my family ever went growing up. I'd love to go back now, especially to Nantucket. Such a beautiful little island.
