This past week has been a whirlwind… between a weekend with Victoria in Vermont to a nice little trip to New Orleans with Garrett. I’m exhausted, but definitely the happiest! Although, I’m for sure looking forward to a low-key couple of days this weekend. More from me on this amazing New Orleans trip (spoiler alert:…
I couldn’t not share some of the photos I snapped on my phone while in Vermont this weekend. Victoria’s family has an amazing ski house in Vermont, and I was so excited to visit them again this fall. (I went up there last October too!) I made the trek up to Massachusetts to meet up with…
After switching over my closet, I vowed not to go crazy with shopping. It’s always helpful to take a real inventory of what I have or don’t have before spending a ton of money and realizing I didn’t need something or already had a similar item. But, I did manage to pick up a few things that I’m excited about:
I almost thought we were going to miss apple picking this year. As I was looking at my calendar and then Garrett’s schedule, I was convinced it wasn’t going to happen. There was ONE DAY where we could go and when I saw the window, it was just a matter of convincing Garrett!
We typically go somewhere nearby in New York or Connecticut (we love Fishkill Farms and had a great experience at March Farms too), but we decided to meet up with Kiel and Sarah and make it a whole thing. We drove up to go to an orchard near them. The first one was only open on the weekend, so we went to another one down the road, only to be turned away because they don’t allow dogs, and then we crossed our fingers and hoped that the third time really is a charm. Turns out they didn’t allow dogs, but they gave us special permission which we were really grateful for!
Today, Maxie is sharing her best tips for building a personal brand! This is a great refresher if you’ve built one already… and a great jumping off point if you realize that you have one (even if you don’t realize it yet 😉). Where to Begin with Building a Personal Brand Guest post by Maxie…
I’ve been wearing my coats more regularly now. Even if it’s warmer in the afternoon, I need one in the morning while walking the dogs at the very least. The easiest coat to grab for just about everything is a Barbour Beadnell. I have a few that I’ve been gifted/purchased over the years. You don’t need more than one, though. They’re solid coats that will last you a lifetime and well worth the price. (Imagine passing yours down to your kids one day!)
Two years ago, I traveled to England and Scotland with Barbour to learn more about the brand. It was an unreal trip for a ton of reasons, but after touring the factory, I was completely obsessed with the brand and their dedication to quality.
Tuckernuck recently put out their Barbour guide, and even though I already love the brand, I find it helpful to see how they style the outfits. (True story: I wish the Tuckernuck girls would style me every day.) It also inspired me to share how I’ve styled my Barbour coats over the years.
I can’t believe Amanda Catherine Designs is celebrating its fifth year!!! I feel like it was just yesterday that Amanda herself reached out to me about doing a giveaway… but that was back in 2011! It’s been amazing, as a now-friend, to watch her business grow with every passing year.
