Pushing Through Fear

Photo by Carter Fish I got a comment the other day from someone. I had to block her IP address for repeatedly leaving the rudest comments. (Like beyond rude really… they’re insane.) I still see the comment in my email even though they don’t get published. But the comment was roughly about how I need…

Best Shoes for Traveling

With summer here, I know a lot of people are booking trips! I also just wrapped up my (first!) trip to Paris, which included a lot of walking. I had a few questions pop up about what the best shoes for traveling are and I thought that I would share my two cents on the topic….

Beauty Favorites

I normally keep all of my beauty products in a drawer or cabinet to keep my bathroom counter uncluttered. Because I’ve been traveling so much though, I haven’t been fully putting everything away because it makes it way easier to pack. I just pack whatever’s on the counter because that’s what I’m using. The little collection of products looked so cute one morning that I realized it would be a good blog post probably as it’s been a while since I shared some of my very favorite products. Some are old favorites that I have been using for years, and others are new ones that I now can’t seem to live without.

Oxford Cloth Bows

I think if anything is evident about my blog, it’s that I love a good bow.  I mean, my second ever blog post was called “Ribbons and Bows.” (Actually, read that blog post, it’s hilarious but talk about staying true to myself over the years, haha.)

I spotted this top in the J. Crew’s jewelry section a few weeks before it was available and I became obsessed with finding it in stores. It turns out what I saw in the jewelry section was actually the dress with the bow in the front. The top has the bow in the back but you can, depending on your build, flip it around so that the slit and bow are in the front or you can even double the tie back around, so it’s in the front. Just note that when you do that the bow becomes smaller since you have less “tail” to work with.

On My Radar

Bonjour! Coming to you live from Paris! I’ve only been here for one day and I totally “get” why people love this city so much. Every corner is beautiful and there is always something delightful to look at. All of my expectations (and they were high!) have been blown out of the water. I feel…

Splash Into Summer

A few weeks ago I started to pull out my favorite Lilly dresses. In Florida, you can get away wearing Lilly pretty much all year round. But up here, you kind of have to wait for the summer months. Memorial Day is definitely the unofficial start of the summer and so it’s the best time to pull out your Lillys… or to pick up a couple of new ones for the season.

I had to share this promotion that Lilly Pulitzer is running starting today. Their gifts with purchases are ALWAYS amazing, but this time might be their best. How cute is that beach tent?!?!

Paris Packing List

I’m flying to Paris TONIGHT! What! I can’t believe I’m actually going. Since I’m pretty nervous about the trip, I haven’t really been thinking about it that much. I have the “big” things planned, but for the most part, I think our plan is to wander around and just explore as much as we can. Even though this is my first trip there, I know if won’t be my last. (I already know I’d love to visit in the f

TRX Training

I love following the Kardashians on Snapchat. It’s such a fun guilty pleasure. Kourtney’s workout Snapchats are also SUPER motivational for me. Granted, they have a private trainer coming to their house every day… but it really does make me want to go to the gym and work a little harder. Whenever I’m doing squats,…
