2017 Favorites

What. A. Year. Last year was such a rough year, personally, that it wouldn’t take much to make 2017 better. I didn’t have too many expectations at the beginning of the year, and boy, was I in for some amazing surprises. I was thinking about how I started the year, and it wasn’t pretty. I…

NINE YEARS

A few days ago, I celebrated the ninth anniversary of this blog. Maybe a little ironically, I was taking a week off from blogging while the day came and went. Now that it’s my full-time job, I post every single day, except for one week around Christmas. I look forward to that week starting in…

Just as a reminder, I’m taking off the next week for the holidays. I hope you guys get to sign off from the internet for a bit too to enjoy time with friends and family! The photo below is from our trip to Lake Placid. This is post-skiing (I use that term lightly since everything except…

I Wanna Be a Rockette

You know the song “I Wanna Be a Rockette”? That is 100% how I’ve felt pretty much my entire life. Even after I quit dancing in eighth grade, I still dreamed of being a Rockette. It was a childhood dream that I’ve held onto long after it was reasonable or even feasible. I actually used…

Books

Books to Give

As we get closer to Christmas, the window for shopping online is closing! A lot of retailers won’t guarantee delivery unless you upgrade the shipping. One thing that you can buy pretty much up until a few days before the big day? BOOKS. Whether you pop into your local bookstore or shop with Amazon, you can’t go wrong with giving a book for the holidays.

There is a book out there for every recipient.  This year two people on my list are getting books (they definitely don’t read my blog, so I’m safe saying that 😉). I’m rounding up some crowd-pleasing options:

A Plaid Dress for the Holidays

This plaid dress had my name written all over it when I spotted it online. I love the length, the cut, and (duh!) the print.
