I actually can’t believe this is the first time I’m wearing this sweater blazer in a blog post. I bought it back in September, and it quickly became a favorite of mine. I don’t think a week has gone by since I’ve slipped it on at some point. When we were hanging onto the last bits of summer. I’d bring it with me to wear over dresses or silk tank tops for evenings out. And now I wear it around my apartment while I’m working or under jackets for an extra layer. It’s a GREAT item to have on hand for traveling as it has a great structure, yet is as comfortable as a shawl. (I think it looks really great with leggings and ballet flats to slightly “dress up” an otherwise casual outfit.)
I also like that, while it’s a sweater, it definitely works year round. You don’t have to put it away at a certain point or feel unseasonable at any given time.
I’m really kind of obsessed with this outfit. Obviously, I wouldn’t go without a coat in the dead of winter– but it’s easy to layer a warmer coat and swap in warmer boots.
Since the outfit is pretty basic, I figured I could go a little heavier on the accessories! I added a leopard flat for a tiny pop and my birdcage earrings. I’m obsessed with these earrings. I’ve gotten a few questions about how heavy they are… they’re not that heavy but they’re also not light as a feather. I typically can wear them for up to six hours (although I have worn them all day too) with zero problems.
I also love how the gold monogram on my tote ties in with the earrings and watch too.

Have you heard of Lobe Wonder patches? They’re little stickers you put on the back of your ears that support heavy earrings. They really make a difference! 😊

I second the lobe wonder patches! Originally thought they’d be useless, but I haven’t worn anything heavier than a stud without them for the past two years.
I have the sweater blazer in navy, and I also wear mine all the time! It is so easy to throw on to change the look of an outfit!

I’m a fan of cardigans, and this sweater blazer is a nice way to step it up. I don’t own any blazers, sweater or otherwise. I’d like to add a blazer to my closet because I think they can make any outfit look more professional, but I think I’d like my first blazer to be more tailored. But after that, I’d be super tempted by this comfy looking sweater blazer! Also loving the ruffle detail of your white button up 🙂 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
Love the camel! I have the navy version and wear it constantly at work!

The comments online claim the sweater runs a little bit bigger than true to size. Do you agree? Can you tell us what size you got? Merci!
I second this request! Thanks Carly!
I have this sweater too! I love it and have gotten many compliments on it. My sister-in-law gave me the navy one for Christmas. It’s great, although I’m not sure how to wear it. Any suggestions?
that sweater blazer looks so comfy
love this look

Love this sweater blazer!! I bought it this fall in black and I wear it at work all the time. It’s perfect for cold winter days when I want to be comfortable, yet professional in my office.
Sooooo cute! love this outfit!!!
Can you post some sort of style guide showing different ways to wear a sweater blazer? I’ve been thinking of getting one, but a) I don’t know how to wear it and b) I don’t know which color I want. I think seeing more outfit inspirations could really help me out.
I’ve just found your blog and I’m obsessed! Actually considering ordering one of these sweater blazers right now. What a gorgeous piece. Keep up the great work! xo Liz
So adorable!! I usually don’t wear wool because I find it itchy sometimes. Is this one more soft because of the blend??
Also major throwback…I was looking through my older emails and I found 3 years worth of your “Prep Talk” newsletters from 2012-2015!! I was a bit nostalgic reading them, your blog has been such a huge part of my life for so long, thank you for all the great content!
(Also you should totally revamp “prep talk” with cool sections on travel, style, inspirational quotes, sponsors for deals, etc., I feel like there are so many nowadays but you would have the best!!
Could you please tell us what size this is? So we can have a reference!
