CARLY ON MY RADAR 8.2.24

This has been a hot week (as Jack likes to say, “toasty toasty toasty!”) but an overall great one. I am feeling kind of torn down the middle myself. On one hand, I’m starting to feel more like myself “postpartum.” Working out feels great, I am making time for friends again, signing up for new things to try, finding my groove with work. On the other hand, I’m truly so tired trying to fit it all in. I want to do all the things (which honestly is a nice feeling!) and also want to just climb into bed the minute the boys go down for the night. I guess it’s still a balancing game– and really, when won’t it be?!

ONE // Affordable Barn Jackets

Barn jackets are going to be huge this fall and I’m so here for it. This one from Old Navy looks fantastic and is priced *just right*. I saw a TikTok of Veronica Beard with a similar coat and she had her initials monogrammed on the sleeve in a punchy red. Consider me influenced. Love the idea of adding a personal touch to the affordable barn jacket.

TWO // Ilona Maher on TikTok

Like most of the country, I can’t turn off the Olympics. Loving every minute of it…. but especially loving all the TikTok content by the athletes. The silliness, the behind the scenes, the food reviews. It’s been so fun to watch and follow along while we learn a little bit more about the personal side of the athletes! Rugby player Ilona Maher is absolutely the queen of Olympic content. Not only is she super funny and relatable, she’s incredibly inspiring too. I loved this message that she shared recently.

THREE // Bow Accent Table

Wow! I wish I had a place for this little bow accent table (on sale!). It’s sheer perfection. If you’re working on a little girl’s nursery, I think this would be the perfect table to put next to a glider!

FOUR // Everything-Spice Fish with Tomato Salad

With this intense heat, I’m craving light and simple meals. I can’t seem to get enough fish! This everything-spice fish looks divine and perfect for a hot evening. I have fallen off the wagon in terms of my goal of cooking meals at home, but I may need to come out of my retirement to make this.
