THREE PAIRS OF EARRINGS

I’m usually pretty simple when it comes to my jewelry. The one place where I tend to mix things up the most is with earrings. Well, let me clarify. I usually end up finding a few pairs that I love and wear over and over again in a hyperfixation. I occasionally find myself wearing statement earrings– if the outfit calls for it– but for the most part I love something simple.

Somehow it’s been almost two years since I got my second piercings done. (I actually can’t believe it was two years ago– it feels like yesterday!) It was something I couldn’t stop thinking about and something I wanted to do with my sister. My sister and I took advantage of the time in between weaning Jack and getting pregnant again, while I was in Tampa for Thanksgiving and we went to the salon to get it done. One of my biggest “concerns” (if you can call it a concern) was that I would have regrets over getting the second piercing. Like once I scratched the itch, I wouldn’t actually want it anymore. I’m happy to report that not only do I not regret it, I actively love the second piercings… every day! It makes me so happy! For those holes, I actually just wear these super tiny “pin prick” fake diamonds.

I’ve been wearing these three pairs of earrings on repeat lately:

SORU CONCETTA HOOP EARRING (c/o)

This is a new to me jewelry brand and I have to tell you just how beautiful these are in person. They have the perfect amount of weight to them for everyday wear– they don’t feel insubstantial but at the same time they’re light enough to put them in and forget they’re there. I am obsessed with the curves on the hoop. They feel timeless and fun, while adding just the right amount of visual interest. So good especially with “basic” outfits where you want a little pop somewhere else. Think: t-shirt and jeans, an easy black dress, white button down, etc.

RING CONCIERGE HUGGIES (c/o)

These are a bit of a splurge, but if you are looking for a little something special, I highly recommend these. They are crazy comfortable to wear (I’ve been sleeping in mine) and they are just the right amount of sparkle. Sometimes I don’t feel cool enough to pull off a gold hoop, but the diamond huggies feel like a nice in between of a stud and a hoop. On trend and still a classic staple. I really love these huggies paired with the second piercing too.

PEARL STUDS

Maybe one day I’ll upgrade to real pearls! For the time being though, I like a simple pearl stud even if it’s an imitation. These are typically what I’m wearing on just a plain everyday basis– to me this is just the status quo. I always have earrings in, so if I don’t want to wear something special, it’s pearl studs for me. While the quality isn’t heirloom by any means, I wore mine for two and half years before I felt like I needed to replace them, which felt like a good run for $12 earrings.
