Bell Sleeve Dress for the Holidays

Ever since this dress arrived, I have been dying to share it on the blog. This is a home run dress. The fit is quite flattering without revealing too much. The sleeves, though. Those sleeves. I was immediately drawn to the bell sleeve and feel like royalty with them!

With the holidays around the corner, I always like to have a few outfits ready in my closet to go for parties. This dress would be great for going out with friends and could work for Thanksgiving with some booties and is, of course, perfect for holiday parties.

I’m partnering with Nordstrom for this post, which is where I do most of my online shopping. With a ton of brands at every price point, it’s hard to order just one thing! And the free shipping and free returns seal the deal– always helpful when ordering different sizes to try on at home.

Now that you’ve seen the dress? The best part is that it’s under $70!!!

I wasn’t sure what to do for shoes, and then I stumbled on these Sam Edelman heels. They’re also well-priced at under $120, but I was shocked at how comfortable they were. I’ve been wearing Sam Edelman flats for a while now, and the heels have the same cushion insert, which makes for easy walking! (Also great for holiday parties where you know there will be a lot of standing!) I may just have to get the navy pair as well.

Isn’t the back fun? I wore my hair down, but I think an updo with this back would elevate the dress even more for dressier occasions.

This is one of my favorite outfits that you’ve ever posted; it’s funny that you said the sleeves make you feel like royalty, because I think that you look so similar to Kate Middleton in this dress!

This is exactly what I have been wanting for my NYC trip in December! I have several formal/dressy events while I am there and this dress is perfect! Do you have any other suggestions for dressy NYC looks for colder months?

Your hair is gorgeous! I liked hearing your last post about coming into your own with your hair and then seeing how you leave it natural with gray hairs showing here is great. I’m 27 and getting gray hairs too!

Haha! I normally don’t part my hair that way but I think it got crazy from wind or something! I like the gray hair though 😊

Love this dress on you Carly – bell sleeves can be so tricky to pull off but this one is perfect – super flattering, too! You look amazing. x

This dress is gorgeous on you!! I have a question! How is the sizing? Does it fit true to size? I usually wear a size 2/a small in dresses so I was thinking of getting a small. Any advice you have would be appreciated! Thanks!

I think a small would fit well, but if you’re larger in the chest than your bottom half, I would size up!
