BEST VALENTINE’S DAY GIFTS FOR KIDS

Growing up, my mom always me and my sister little gifts for Valentine’s Day. It was always fun to wake up and see what we got (like a mini Christmas morning!). Was it extra? Maybe, but we felt SO special every time. After writing about fun Valentine’s Day cards for kids last week, it’s only natural to now round up the best Valentine’s Day gifts for kids!

Best Valentine’s Day Gifts for Kids

POETRY BOOK // How darling is this?! This book of love poems includes playful originals and writing from icons like Shakespeare. The best part is the colorful illustrations, which make even the older poetry feel SO accessible. I also love that even though it’s technically for Valentine’s Day, you can really read it all year long.
SENSORY PACK // I swear, little sensory kits like this are like magic. I don’t understand how they have the power to keep kids occupied for so long… but I’m certainly not complaining. All the glow-in-the-dark elements make this one extra exciting! Because there are two colors of “cloud clay,” you could split the pack for a pair of siblings to share, making it even cheaper!!
MINI MAGNATILES // IYKYK! Magnetic tiles are one of *the* most common toys I see at friends’ houses because they openended-ness makes them simply addictive. (Kind of reminds me of our generation’s Legos!) I wouldn’t mind having a mini set like this, which is just the right size for keeping young kids occupied at restaurants and while traveling. The case is magnetic, which is genius– they become so much harder to lose.
PENCIL CASE + SET // I’ve loved Oso & Me literally since Jack was born. They have the most thoughtful, high quality play clothes, plus a line of arts and crafts supplies. The size of these colored pencils are great for little hands, and they even come with a jumbo sharpener. Definitely one of the best Valentine’s Day gifts for kids– it’d also be good to have on hand for birthdays too. (While the monogram isn’t necessary, I will say that their embroidery options are ADORABLE and such a fun touch.)
PAJAMAS // When Joy Street Kids offered to send these for Jack and Rory, I couldn’t say no! They make some of my favorite pajamas and I love these because they’re “on theme” without being too literal. Heads up– the pima cotton does shrink a little bit in the wash, so I’d order up one size. Maybe even two if you really want them to last!
YOTO MINI PLAYER // We’re a Toniebox family, but I have a feeling we’ll be upgrading Jack to the Yoto Mini soon! I think of it as being the size of an iPod with the functionality of a CD player– it’s portable, which definitely comes in handy, and all you need to do is insert a card to start listening. The cards are technically easier to lose than Tonies, but the benefit is that they’re WAY less bulky.
PUZZLE SET // For the tiniest toddlers! There are four puzzles in this set (how convenient!), and each one has a different amount of pieces. Every puzzle also has a different color on the back, making it super easy to organize them.
BATH BOMBS // What kid doesn’t love a bath bomb?! Not only are these SO cute, but they’re made with natural essential oils that are perfect for sensitive skin (they probably smell less artificial too). Each animal has a different scent, which is identified on the “zoo map.”

Thanks you so much Carly! I love these! As a mom with a fellow Valentine’s Day bday kid, do you have plans for how you’ll manage the holiday/birthday conflict? Would love to know what you’re thinking!
