Cashmere Cardigan

This is not the most groundbreaking outfit that ever was. But I have to say, it’s one of my favorites. It’s so simple and cozy, which is often what I crave with my outfits. This is something I can wear working from home and traveling!

I bought this particular cardigan years ago. It’s Lilly Pulitzer and I’m 95% certain I was in college (or my first year out) when I bought it and that it was on Rue La La way on sale. It was one of the first cashmere pieces I invested in and it’s still one of my all time favorites. Definitely one of my most worn cashmere items, all years considered!

Obviously, it’s no longer available, but I found a very similar option from Club Monaco and it’s on sale right now– and available in three colors, including grey.

It’s a great choice for traveling, especially with planes. I’m almost always freezing on planes and this is like a socially acceptable way to walk around with a blanket wrapped around you. If you get warm, you can fold it up and use it like a little pillow. (I’ve tested this and it works just great!)

I wear it over everything from dresses to turtlenecks. For spring, I love it over just a simple camisole though.

I love this look! Also love when you share pieces that you’ve invested in and wear for years! Happy Sunday!

Love that you’re re-sharing something you bought so many years ago! I’m looking into investing in higher end pieces like that cashmere cardi, and researching more sustainable options ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Carly, I am a huge fan of the way you make outfits look stylish and ‘new’ with pieces you have owned for years or bought from threw up. It is important for people to know it’s okay to buy second hand AND keep rewearing pieces they love year after year. Sustainability is big for me.
