My Espresso Maker Is 50% Off

I’ve had my espresso maker for just about a year now and, let me tell you, it was worth EVERY penny. I bought it for myself for my birthday last year and hemmed and hawed over whether it was going to be worth it. It’s definitely a lot of money for a kitchen appliance. Even before the pandemic, I loved it, but especially now, being able to make cafe style coffee drinks at home has been a GAME CHANGER.

It was one of my top non-clothing items sold last year during the holiday season and I wanted to come back and a) reiterate how much I love it, b) tell you it’s one of our most used items in the kitchen still, c) that it’s currently 50% off, and d) comes in even more colors now like navy!

If you’ve been thinking about it, you can’t beat this price. And if you’re anything like me, the price of lattes out really add up in a way that switching to making them at home could cover the cost of this baby pretty quickly. (Especially if you have two people like Mike and me!)

Up until very recently I had only really made hot espresso drinks. Either cappuccinos or plain shots of espresso. But then I started experimenting with iced lattes at home. Don’t ask me why, but I had never thought to try one at home and guess what. I prefer them at home because I can pick the exact milk to espresso to ice ratio that I like.

Really the only thing better than having someone else make you a cup of coffee is making yourself a drink to your exact liking!

Hi! I was just wondering if you ground your own beans or if you buy them ground?

I buy the canisters of ILLY pre-ground espresso. I got a burr grinder but honestly I think it just makes things more complicated!

Thank you for the link! I don’t need an espresso machine because I already have one but the WS side bar did show me that the cuisinart single cup machine that I do want is $85 off.
Score!!

Hi Carly, thanks for the heads up about the sale! I’m curious though – would you still recommend this size ? I thought that I read in a previous post of yours that if you had to do it again you would purchase the bigger Express one. Curious to hear your thoughts now. Thanks!

I still 100% recommend this size– it has served us SO well. Would I buy a bigger one now that I know how much I love it? YES. But I think it’s a major issue price-wise for a lot of people so wanted to share this sale! (Plus, we don’t have a bigger machine so I can’t personally speak to it other than wanting 😂

Ooh this is a great tip! We’ve been looking for a good machine for my bf. Does anyone know how long it will be on sale?

I’m curious on your thoughts on the ‘real’ espresso machine over a Nespresso machine which I think I remember you used to own. I have used both and see pros and cons to each machine! Nespresso for ease, the real machine for the ability to customize your drinks.

I loved the Nespresso but definitely didn’t love using the pods– I also had the Nespresso that made coffee cups not espresso shots and used to crave just making a regular cup of coffee (if that makes sense!). I still love when I go to a hotel (not during a pandemic lol) and they have a Nespresso maker in the room!! But for home, making espresso has been just as easy!
