NEW TO ME JEWELRY

Lately, I’ve been loving mixing up my jewelry on an everyday basis. I love the way jewelry looks on, obviously, but until recently it just wasn’t part of my morning routine. I tend to wear the same things all the time, sleeping in pieces so I wasn’t in the habit of switching things up. Now I am and it’s become a favorite little ritual every morning. Maybe even more so during the winter when I gravitate towards sweaters and jeans quite often… the right piece of jewelry feels like finishing touch!

Last spring I also got my colors done and determined that silver looks better with my coloring. While it hasn’t (and won’t!) stop me from wearing gold, it did make me realize just how little silver jewelry I had in my collection. It’s been fun to add new pieces into my jewelry box… and one of the perks of this job has been trying out new brands and styles so I can share with you.

I have been wearing these pave diamond huggies a lot, but when I want something with a little more visual interest, these baguette hoops are stunners. They pack a punch and are still totally suitable for daytime wear, too. You’ve probably seen me wearing them quite often on Instagram Stories since I got them!

This combo is quickly becoming a favorite. Classic and still has a little personality. (The tiny heart is just perfect!) I got these hoops for a simple silver option and they are gorgeous– it’s my first foray into Quince’s jewelry and won’t be my last. Love this tennis necklace– it looks especially great with a simple t-shirt or cashmere sweater– and have been layering it over the heart necklace. You can adjust the length of the chain depending on what you’re wearing.

(PS I wear these in my second piercing.)

I have another HART necklace and they recently sent me a new chain and charms. I intend on layering them together. This case charm is so special… it actually opens up and you can slip something inside. I might shrink a copy of some of the boys’ artwork? Trying to decide what to do!

I’m ending with the best find though. Aurate sent me a few pieces (like these solitaire studs and knot studs) and the tennis bracelet has blown me away. While it’s still an investment, it’s more affordable than real diamonds without compromising quality or appearance. It looks (and feels) great on. If you’ve been looking for a tennis bracelet, give this one a try!! I’m very, very impressed.

Hi Carly, do you have a gift guide or gift recommendations for a friend who is pregnant? (maybe something for mom and for baby). You create amazing gift guides!

I had my colors done recently too and really love how much easier it’s been to shop and get dressed. (I used ThredUp to quickly build up my wardrobe in my new colors. Got some real gems, without a lot of shopping effort or investment!). Would love to know what season were you typed as?
