I’ve had such a fun week. I am definitely emerging from my winter hibernation. I am booked and busy. Tap class! Mahjong! Parties! Board meetings! I don’t know who I think I am… My mom came up last weekend and stayed for a few nights so she could come to my mahjong night! The boys were in heaven with her here, too.
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // Classic Mini Shift Dress
I can’t wait for warm weather clothes. It’s been a while since I’ve had a non-pregnant, non-breastfeeding summer and I’m just very excited to not be limited in what I wear by that. (Whoa just thought about it and 2020 it was the pandemic summer, then I was pregnant and BFing in 2021/2022, and pregnant and BFing in 2023/2024…) Color me excited. This mini shift dress is everything. A new to me brand but I tried it on and absolutely fell in love with the silhouette. A true shift dress (that somehow doesn’t feel too boxy), lined, and pockets!
TWO // Freakier Friday Trailer
Freaky Friday was a favorite of ours growing up! We had the DVD and watched it quite frequently. When rumblings about a sequel started, I was cautiously excited that it would actually come to fruition. And here we are. It comes out in August and the way I will be running to the movie theater.
THREE // Rifle Paper Co Easter Collection
Rifle Paper Co’s Easter collection couldn’t be cuter if they tried. Other than a few things for Halloween and, of course, Christmas, I haven’t delved into decorating for other holidays. But I really want to be the kind of mom who does… I ordered this springtime banner to hang up and I think it’s so fun! I also ordered this carrot fabric (though I don’t know what I’ll make with it yet).
FOUR // “My Cool Friend Michelle”
This personal essay by Mara Wilson about her childhood friendship with Michelle Trachtenberg is quite special. When I heard that Michelle had tragically passed away, it really hit me hard. She was in so many movies and shows I loved (Harriet the Spy, Gossip Girl, Ice Princess). Mara wrote such a beautiful tribute.
FIVE // Strawberry Pop Tart Sheet Cake
OMG my mouth was watering reading this recipe for a Strawberry Pop Tart Sheet Cake. I love baking in the springtime with fruity and bright flavors. This one would be perfect to serve at an Easter brunch.
What a great week! I love those dresses! Have a great weeekend!

Coco Shop makes the most beautiful things – love that shift dress.
FYI – the My Cool Friend Michelle essay is blocked by a firewall. Bummer, I’d love to read it.
Happy Friday, Carly!! You look so happy and you and your mom are twins!
