RAINY DAY OUTFIT ESSENTIALS

Spring feels so close, and I’m crossing my fingers that the end of winter is around the corner. I’m in a spring state of mind and ready to switch over my closet to warm weather clothes! We have a few rainy days in the forecast, so I thought it’d be fun to round up what to wear on a rainy day. As simple as it is, sometimes cute rainy day outfits are just what I need to lift my mood.

Starting with the essentials, a good umbrella is a must, and bonus points if it has a pretty pattern. This Barbour umbrella is my favorite. It was so handy for our Copenhagen trip last month since it rained most days, and it’s the perfect size to fit in a handbag on the go. I’m a big fan of Hunter rainboots– they’re on everyone’s list of what to wear on a rainy day! I have had multiple pairs throughout the years. The short black boots are a classic and I wear them with most of my rainy day outfits, but I also have a soft spot for some of my bright-colored rainboots on gloomy days. This classic hooded raincoat is fully waterproof, lightweight, and conveniently stuffs into its own hand pocket for easy storage. Since many rain jackets are only water-repellent, this is a proper rain jacket that will keep you dry and warm. But if you want a more versatile spring jacket, I love my lightweight green anorak jacket. It’s stylish, water-repellent, and has a hood with an extended collar. I also like that it has a longer hem in the back for extra coverage and an elastic bungee at the waist!
