WEEK OF OUTFITS 2.27.24 (POSTPARTUM EDITION)

I thought I’d share some of the recent things I’ve worn since giving birth nearly two weeks ago. I mostly have worn comfy clothes while home, but it’s been nice to put on the occasional “real” outfit here and there. Even though I physically feel soooo much better after my second baby, I am experiencing a more heightened sense of body insecurity this time around. It’s been an interesting combination to feel so good in terms of recovery but to have my body feel even more foreign. Working on it, but wanted to keep that part real here in case anyone is under the impression I’ve bounced back (to be clear: I have not).

Here are some of the outfits I’ve worn:

Jacket

Sweatshirt

Leggings

Sneakers

Sweatshirt

Leggings (c/o)

Sweatshirt (c/o)

Sweatpants (c/o)

Sweater (c/o)

Jeans

Sweater

Jeans

Dress

You look wonderful – radiant!!! Enjoy this magical time. It took 14 years after my youngest was born for my body to be where I wanted it to be (obviously due to food not postpartum!!!), but I would trade my figure to back to those newborn days in a heartbeat if I could!!!

I am currently pregnant with my first and my body is changing so much. It’s so helpful to read about your pre and postpartum experiences. Thank you being vulnerable and sharing your insecurities! It validates my feelings as well.

Carly you look great!! Thank you so much for sharing. I am also two weeks postpartum with my second and feel very similar to you- much better physically than with my first, but also more impatient with my body. I think maybe it’s because we feel better physically we expect our bodies to return to normal more quickly too? Either way, I am reminded to keep having grace with myself and I offer the same to you! You’ve done an amazing thing mama!
