I had an unsurprisingly low key week again. Lots of casual, comfy outfits per usual. We have a LOT of snow in our forecast, so I imagine I’ll be going even more cozy as the week goes on.
WEEK OF OUTFITS 2.2.21
LAST WEEK’S WIN: Getting OUT. Mike and I had such a fun time going on our little day date to the movie theater. Honestly, you would have thought we were teenagers going out on our first date with all the giddiness. It was worth every penny and felt like a few hours of “normalcy” that we really, really missed. Especially now that eating outside at restaurants isn’t even feasible, getting to do something outside of our house together and alone was a dream!
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: My office desperately needs to be deeply organized. I let things get bad in November and December… and now it’s February and I haven’t really addressed any of the disorganization issues. In fact, it’s gotten worse because once it got disorganized I didn’t feel that guilty adding “one more” thing to the pile. YIKES. I am going to tackle it this week. (🤞🏻)
TUESDAY
I barely did anything on Tuesday besides my usual work. I had one phone call interview with a media website, which is always interesting. And I always have a sense of what they’ll ask but you never know where the conversation will go. I’ll let you know if it ends up coming out. (Also not a guarantee with these interviews!)
WEDNESDAY
My volunteer day! I look forward to Wednesdays so much because I enjoy volunteering. I just so happened to be assigned to Wednesdays but it ended up being such a blessing because it perfectly breaks up the week.
THURSDAY
I had so much to catch up on on Thursday. Not sure what happened exactly because I thought I had been on track for the week, but a bunch of stuff popped up that *needed* to be dealt with. Oh, and I had a call with an old college friend to help him with something so that was fun to catch up.

FRIDAY
I have no idea what we did Friday besides work 🤣 We did order “fancy” takeout because it was Friday night, but other than that… nothing of note.
SATURDAY
Our movie date day! It was FREEZING and so we got all bundled up. I wanted to be super comfy in the movie theater so I went with yoga pants and a comfy top. The best part of such an early movie (noon!) was that it was still very much daytime when we came home. We had an overall really nice Saturday.

SUNDAY
I had a deadline for photos so I had to rally and get full hair and makeup. We had a snowstorm coming our way and I knew our house would be too dark the next day so I had a two-hour “good lighting” window on Sunday to make the photos happen. Can’t wait to share!
MONDAY
We had a full blown snow storm on Monday. They kept saying there was going to be a ton of a snow, but I never really believe it until it happens. Well we woke up to SNOW and it came down hard all day. It was still a regular work day, though it felt pretty special with the snow accumulating outside!

We rented a movie theater in December so that we could enjoy a Christmas movie. My boys loved it! We went all out with the popcorn, candy, and soda. It was so much fun even though it was a movie we’d all seen before. We all needed that feeling of joy after so many months of quarantining. I agree it was money well spent!
I feel like you are winning in the work from home life compared to me when it comes to outfits. My daily outfits consist of black leggings that are fleece lined and a long sleeve shirt (which happen to be the exact same shirt in different colors).
Love all the outfits this week! Question about the henley sweater from Madewell: Do you have any tips on washing it? Since it’s hand wash only, I have been laying it flat to dry, but have noticed it seems to stretch out a bit. Do you experience the same thing?
