We had a doozy of a week, but ended with a really lovely weekend at home. An impromptu pizza party with our neighbors, hang outs with cousins and aunts and uncles, and also just a lot of quality family time at home. I love a weekend with no plans, even if it’s rainy. Even though it can be exhausting entertaining small children non-stop, it’s also rewarding!
LAST WEEK’S WIN: After trying to find time for spring cleaning our yard, I finally just hired a crew to do it for us. Honestly, worth it. They moved a lot quicker than we could and it was a relief to just have it done. We did get the chance to go over to our local garden center to pick up some plants and flowers and soil and seeds. Jack picked out a few things that he wanted to plant (so cute) and I went crazy with flowers. Per an IG follower’s recommendation, I picked up some Creeping Phlox for our raised beds, plus a couple more hydrangea plants to fill in the space, and also some climbing roses to add to the trellis on our garage. I don’t really have a green thumb, so we’ll see how it all turns out.
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: After a very cold winter in our house, my sourdough starter is loving this warm weather. I want to make sourdough bagels (who am I?!) at some point this week. Thought it would be fun and something that I can finally pull off now that my starter and dough is rising more quickly again.
