My friend Molly’s book is coming out this week! I wanted to help her promote it, so she wrote a (super!!!!) helpful guest post for the blog. We met a few years ago after speaking on a panel together, and I was actually already subscribed to her blog too. This guest is particularly apropos considering…
Oui, Oui!
Remember when I wore a beret last winter? I was seriously hoping the trend would stick around. I have always loved berets. (My sister and I had a few from Gap Kids back in the day, and I would convince her to match with me, mostly because I didn’t give her a choice.) They’re everywhere now, and I couldn’t be happier.
A beret definitely screams cooler weather to me. While we had a few chilly days, the heat seems to be back with a vengeance. I’ve been trying to challenge myself to put together cute outfits for this in-between season. A nod to fall without actually melting.
6 Best Recipes for Fall
It was 90 degrees this weekend, and I felt like I was melting into the pavement at times. Even with the scorching temperatures, I still love all things fall. (Actually, maybe this is the best way to enjoy fall. Apple cider doughnuts and getting a few rays of the sun? Not bad.) These fall recipes are…
A Classic Fall Look
This is, without question, my favorite outfit post of the year. It has everything I love in a good outfit: comfortable, tailored, and classic pieces. It’s really as simple as it gets and I think that’s what I love about it. It’s the small details that bring it from boring to sharp.
One of my friends was asking on Instagram where you can find well-made classic clothes nowadays. It seems, and I’d agree, that every store is hopping on the trendy bandwagon. I don’t hate that most of the time, but when you need to find closet staples that fit well and look great, where do you go? I had just received the box of clothes for this post in collaboration with Talbots and promptly messaged her back: GET TO TALBOTS, ASAP.
Ocean House Beach Polo Classic
A couple of weeks ago, I went to the inaugural Ocean House Beach Polo Classic. Lilly asked if I wanted to attend as their guest and I couldn’t say no! Ocean House has to be one of the most beautiful buildings in the country. It’s right on the water and looks like it came straight…
On My Radar
It feels particularly great getting to Friday this week. I don’t even know what was particularly wrong with me, I just felt a little “off.” To combat that feeling, I upped my water intake and did a few extra minutes of meditation every day. It’s not a cure-all and some weeks are just a little…
Fall Staples
This is an updated post that I’ve done for the past couple of years. What I love about this post, is that even though this is not the first time I’ve done it, I still 100% stand by the staples. They are truly timeless. This time around I’m going to try to add a bunch…
Some Wednesday Thoughts
A random collection of thoughts today: ONE. I have no concept of time this week. All week I’ve thought that it’s a different day than it is. Without Google Calendar alerts, I would have been in trouble! (I keep having to remind myself, “It’s Wednesday, it’s Wednesday” because it feels like Thursday. TWO. Last night…
How I Blow Dry and Curl My Hair
After years of dealing with my hair, I finally know how to do it myself. I actually prefer doing my own hair now versus going to get it done somewhere else. (Although, I do love it when I have my hair washed!) Here’s a little backstory on my hair: – I was born bald. And remained bald…
