I shared this dress on Instagram Stories while I was home in Florida and it was one of the most swiped stories I’ve ever done. This dress is EVERYTHING.
Let me start the story by saying that I have fallen in love with a $2,000 Gucci dress. LOL. Leave it to me. The dress had gorgeous grosgrain ribbon around it, just like you’d expect from Gucci. But $2,000. Ugh. The next day an order I placed from Macy’s showed up with a bunch of dresses I was going to try on for a sponsored post. One of the dresses ended up being even better than the Gucci one. Way more practical and way less expensive. I was so excited.
Highly, highly recommend it.
After I posted it on my Instagram, I got a bunch of questions about sizing. It’s not that structured so I imagine more than one size would work. I got the 2 which is the smallest size they offer and I’d normally order a 0. I’m not sure if that means everyone should size up or not. I wish I could be more helpful.
I also had people ask whether it was see-through. It is NOT! It’s pretty thick without being heavy, almost like a summer ponte material. While it wouldn’t work in every office environment, I do think it could work for some offices depending on the dress code, especially with the right accessories and shoes.
I think I’ll wear this throughout the summer with wedges (pictured), sneakers, and Jack Rogers.
Oh yes, I love this dress and can’t wait to wear it throughout the summer months!

The dress is nice, Carly! I like how the accent colours aren’t too obvious and played up. It’s subtle, but cute! 🙂

As soon as I saw this I thought wow that looks like Gucci! What an amazing preppy find. I love the detailing down the sides of the dress, it makes it so flattering (I have a Lilly shift that with that detail and it makes the dress). Thanks for a perfect summer dress! xAllie

Your dress is beautiful Carly! I love the accents, they’re so cute! Red white and blue always go together so well!

I love the silhouette of that dress, so classic and elegant. I could definitely get away with wearing it to work with a navy blazer and nude pumps or flats. Such a versatile dress!

Love this! I have a couple of Macy’s gift cards I have yet to use… thank you for leading me to the perfect dress to order!
P.S. Tommy Hilfiger sells a suitcase that matches this dress!
That is a super cute dress! (Off topic question, do Jack Rogers make a ‘flip flop’ sound when you walk? I’ve been eyeing up the Draper James “Hello Darlin'” Jack Rogers, but I don’t want to be the person in my office everyone can hear walking in the summer…)
This dress is stunning on you! And those rings!! Where are they from?

The sapphire diamond band was a gift for my birthday and I just bought the diamond one during my last visit to Tampa!
What a pretty option for 4th of July!
