Last year was Jack’s first Easter, and we spent the weekend hosting friends and family at our house. I put together a small Easter basket for Jack, and it was a perfectly low-key weekend that left me so content! Maybe other people experience this too, but I have a tendency to build very high expectations in my head for holidays, and I can end up disappointed when reality doesn’t meet expectations. I’m starting to get better at not setting expectations and enjoying things as they come – I felt like last Easter was a great reminder that remaining present is what makes a holiday memorable!
With Easter approaching, I wanted to round up a few cute spring dresses perfect for Easter weekend. I came across this adorable eyelet pink midi dress for under $70. I have a dress in the same color I bought last year for my book tour and absolutely loved it. It’s such a pretty color for spring, and you can’t beat the price.
Since I’m a big fan of smocked midi dresses and bows, it’s no surprise I gravitated towards this green gingham midi and blue floral maxi that are both perfect for Easter brunch. But I have to say this floral linen midi dress may be my favorite. I love the timeless silhouette and classic blue and white floral print. It’s one of those dresses you will wear again and again. I’d style it with heeled sandals and a cardigan sweater for Easter. Lastly, you can’t go wrong with a cotton poplin dress for a casual get-together with family. This liberty floral print smocked waist dress is beautiful and under $150.
