The start of spring is a great opportunity to give your yard a little refresh and add a little curb appeal, so to speak. Our family spends a lot of time outside in our front and backyard, so making it a warm and inviting space where we can play and entertain is essential. We’ve done some work on our backyard but not as much in the front, so I wanted to share some front porch decor ideas!
A Little Free Library was one of the first things I bought for our front yard when we moved into our home. After doing a bit of research, I ended up getting this kit from Etsy. I would 100% recommend it as it’s handmade, extremely high quality, and comes from a family-owned business. I purchased the cozy size, which is perfect for our front yard. I worried it would be too small, but it fits quite a few books and doesn’t take up too much real estate on our petite yard. I have a whole post on my experience here if you’re interested in getting one for your yard.
We have this cute little nook of a porch in the front of the house. I searched high and low for rocking chairs with a certain “look.” I didn’t want anything boxy or bulky and had a difficult time finding it. I found these at Target. They were relatively easy to assemble and have held up well over the last few years.
We’re starting to do some landscaping and are in the middle of planting Hydrangeas in our yard. I love having fresh flowers around our house, so I can’t wait for them to bloom this summer. Sprucing up a front porch with flowers is a simple way to boost curb appeal. These scalloped terracotta pots and window box planters would look beautiful filled with spring blooms. And for the last of the front porch decor ideas, don’t underestimate the power of a cute wreath and a doormat.
