One of my favorite dresses in my closet is J. Crew’s slip dress. I don’t usually wear a lot of “slinky” things, but I make an exception for this dress. I can’t explain why I feel good in it, when I normally would shy away from body hugging pieces like this… but I do. I love it! It’s such a versatile dress too– here I styled the slip dress in three different ways.
Imagine my delight when J. Crew released the same silhouette in LINEN. I rejoiced! Linen is one of my favorite fabrics to wear in the summer months and this dress works perfectly. It comes in a few different colors, but I (naturally) went with the light blue gingham. It’s going to be a go to this season, I just know it.
It’s numerical sizing, which I think is great– fits true to size! The straps are also adjustable, which is a nice touch for a perfect fit.
I just can’t get over it. You could totally wear this during the day with sneakers and a denim jacket without feeling over dressed…. and it also would work for a fun summer date night look too. I plan on wearing it both ways.
