TODDLER BOY FALL/WINTER UNIFORM

I wanted to quickly share what has become Jack’s “uniform” for these cooler months. I am a big fan of figuring out a uniform for toddlers. 1) It makes shopping simple, 2) it cuts down on any stress in the morning, and 3) it makes laundry simpler too. I shared what his summer wardrobe consisted of and now it’s time to talk about the fall. Honestly, it’s even easier than the summer wardrobe and it’s working out perfectly so far.

I do buy fun pieces of clothing for special occasions and outings, but in terms of what we’re putting on every day… this is the uniform so far! I have some pieces for snow gear tucked away, which I’ll share once I’m able to put things to the test. For now, these are our tried and true.

SWEATSHIRTS (we have a bunch of the navy and grey) // 3-PACK SWEATSHIRTS (these are a little more athletic looking) // PUFFER COAT

1/2 ZIP SWEATER // SIMILAR COAT // ROLL NECK SWEATER (this is so classic and washes easily!)

LONG-SLEEVE POCKET TEE // NAVY SHORT SLEEVE // WHITE SHORT SLEEVE

JOGGER PANTS (worth the price– these are great) // PULL ON PANTS (people aren’t a fan of the new design, but I actually think they have a cleaner look)

HAT // RAIN BOOTS // CANVAS SNEAKERS // ATHLETIC SHOES // CHELSEA BOOTS

Even though this seems pretty basic, we can make all different kinds of outfits from it. We have been layering short sleeve or long sleeve tees under the sweater or sweatshirts because some days it’s freezing in the morning and warm by the afternoon (and his preschool is pretty warm). Swapping in a sweater for a sweatshirt and changing in boots instead of sneakers can quickly elevate the outfit to more than just a daycare uniform, without drastically changing the comfort level. Everything on this list is Jack-approved for everyday wear.

A mom of three boys…I love this and tip. Always grab Patagonia web specials at season end and all year because it goes boy to boy and bigger is always better. You will save tons $

I love this series, what a great idea! My daughter just turned one, and I’m going to start approaching her wardrobe like this. It’s so much easier when everything can mix and match.

Sorry to be ~that~ girl…. could you tell us what brand that field coat on the second row is? Is it JCrew? I’ve been looking for something like it for my nephew and I’m willing to dig through resale sites for it! He has a little bro due any day now so it will get twice the use – so I’m willing to put in the time. TIA
