I have a very new obsession right now…. taper candles. I know wireless tabletop lamps are trending everywhere (and don’t get me wrong– I want a few of those myself), but wow I just can’t get over the elegance of a taper candle. Of course, these are far from new and I think that’s what’s making me so drawn to them. Especially now that our house is redecorated, they have been adding a sense of coziness and romanticism to our everyday life. I want to light them every night for dinner for the vibes.
With the holidays coming up, I’m stocking up on some special designs to elevate the mood (and will keep some on hand for hostess gifts as well).

Same! I also love Roman ribbed candles and the ones that are sort of twisted around. They add so much charm to a room.

I think these would make great hostess gifts. Another idea is to buy solid colors and paint them yourself!
I *love* taper candles, too! Would you mind sharing 1.) What you put under the candles to catch the wax so it doesn’t end up on furniture? and 2.) How you light the pretty ones?! I have such a “they’re too pretty to light” mind-set, ha! xo
