I recently inherited a gorgeous Coach crossbody that used to be my grandmother’s. The color is such a rich and warm tan. It might just be the one of the things that I’m looking forward to using come fall. Even now, it works well with white jeans and navy tops.
My handbag collection has certainly grown since I graduated college. I love a bright pink bag and a casual canvas tote as much as the next girl, but there’s something quite perfect about grabbing a simple leather bag and running out the door.

Beige/tan leather bags are my go-to – they go with everything (black, blue, white, green, color!) and most are seasonless. My current go-to beige bag is the cognac colored Downing Tote from J.Crew. Words cannot describe how perfect it is for me!

I wear my leather tote all the time for school. My favorite one is from Dooney and Bourke and I have had it for almost 6 years. I wore it all through High School and it still is in amazing shape. It looks even better now because the leather has worn so much and is so soft. Definitely the best buy ever.

I've been a fan of buying little trinkets at markets, but whenever I come home with my haul, my mom always seems exasperated about my spendings. "You need to invest in better quality items! You get what you pay for!" she says, and it wasn't until the last few years when I really understood what she meant. While trends are fun and all that, I'm trying to invest in timeless items that will always go well with outfits, and that will also last long enough! My parents are sending me off to college in three days–eek, so soon!–and my mom has given me a few of her favorite handbags to take with me. I'll cherish them forever! As much as I love brightly colored bags, brown leather will always be my go to. It's so classic and always gives a touch of sophistication while still remaining super trendy!

Love this. All of my bags consisted of colored Fossil crossbodies before last Christmas. My parents gave me a large, dark brown leather Fossil tote that has been perfect for school. I love that I'll be able to use it once I graduate too!

I pretty much only use Leather or good quality Vegan Leather handbags I just love the look. I've been wanting a leather tote for a while, for library books and for when my tiny Kate Spade Crossbody just doesn't have the space, and I'm completely in love with that Bien tote.
