There’s something so satisfying about being in a new year. I used to get those page-a-day calendars (Mary Engelbreit, of course) every Christmas for the new year. I loved tearing off the front page and having that thick, thick stack of pages. The year was mine, I used to think every time I started off with that calendar. Full of promise, new memories, and probably a fair share of low points too.
But this quotation by Oprah Winfrey totally captures both the unpredictability of the year and the wonder of getting an automatic fresh start.

I have a mary engelbreit calendar like that. I cut out all of the quotes and sayings and add them to bulletin boards, pin boards, and even mail them to friends. 🙂
