Brown is having a moment right now, and I’ve been seeing a LOT of all brown outfits! I don’t think the color is necessarily flattering on me, but I’m inspired by what everyone’s been wearing. If I were to hop on the trend, I’d go with beige and brown outfits– the combination just looks so good.
Cardigan ($50!) // Pearl Studs ($60!) // Embossed Micro Crossbody // Suede Ballet Flats // Wide-Leg Cropped Jeans
I really think a great cardigan is a wardrobe staple, and this one from Quince is so well-priced at $50. Plus, there are a few other brown and beige shades to pick from. The embossed micro crossbody is one of my favorite pieces here– it’s such a clever way to do monograms and frankly it still looks timeless.
Bow Studs ($32!) // Convertible Crossbody // Cashmere Shirt ($45!) // Corduroy Mini Skirt ($45!) // Mary-janes
How could I not include bows in one of the beige and brown outfits?! The corduroy mini skirt is great too. It definitely hits above the knee but it’s not too mini. Also, the $45 price tag on the cashmere shirt frankly sounds too good to be true, but the reviews are glowing!
I wanted to challenge myself to make brown the star of at least one outfit, and this maxi dress actually reminds me of something Annie Culbertson (one of my favorite follows!) would wear. The price is very reasonable and anything stretchy is obviously going to be forgiving.
Sweater Vest ($60!) // Chain Link Huggies ($55!) // Leather Sneakers ($47!) // Corduroy Wide-Leg Cropped Pants
The vest trend is SO chic and I hope it sticks around. I wasn’t surprised to see that Abercrombie sells a great sweater vest. I’d be happy with any of the colorways! My friend Kelly is a huge fan of Anthropologie’s Colette pants– I don’t own a pair yet, but I’m definitely tempted. The dark, rich brown corduroy is so good!!
