BEST ONE-PIECE SWIMSUITS 2024

Shopping for swimsuits have never been my favorite, but they’re essential for us in the summer. Between our pond club, Nantucket, and trips to the shore with Mike’s family, we ALL become water babies. Finding the best one-piece swimsuit I feel good in is a top priority for my postpartum body!

Best One-Piece Swimsuits 2024

Navy Wrap // Blue Gingham ($59!) // Cabana Stripe ($30!) // Navy Smocked // Green Ruffles // White Eyelet // Floral Rash Guard

Green Gingham // Navy One-Shoulder // Brown Floral Vine // Breton Stripe // Cane Scallop // Brown Clip // Navy Zip Rash Guard

Okay, so five of these are from Minnow, but I just couldn’t narrow them down. They’re the best one-piece swimsuits for moms, in my opinion, because they’re made for moms – aka actually full coverage and flattering. This smocked navy suit (with bows!) is obviously very “Carly”, but the Breton stripe suit with ties is classic too. If I didn’t spend most of my time by the water in the sand with Jack (and soon, Rory!), I’d scoop up this white eyelet one-piece in a heartbeat. I’d love to see Minnow make this brown floral vine swimsuit in more colors because the pattern is SO good! And of course, you all know how seriously I take sun safety: I own a few rash guards from Minnow (the ribbon on the back is darling!) and it’s no surprise that I love this one.

Another favorite source with the best one-piece swimsuits is J.Crew, plus they’re *always* having a sale. I can see this vintage-inspired style (currently in green gingham) being a new go-to for the brand – and if you look closely, you’ll notice the seersucker texture! Factory is always worth taking a look at too. It’s no surprise that I’m drawn to this $59 blue gingham one-piece. If you’re looking for something super budget friendly, this Old Navy suit is only $30 and comes in eight different prints/colors, though I’m eyeing the blue cabana stripe.

I have a few friends who are obsessed with Marysia, and by default, their scallops make me obsessed too. This cane print? Just icing on the cake. I’ve owned a few Tory Burch swimsuits over the years and they’ve always become favorites. This brown swimsuit with gold hardware on the straps is incredibly chic and perfect for the “cool girl.” I heard that Hill House might be introducing swim for kids within the next year, and it inspired me to take another look at their swimwear for women. I own the pool skirt and swim top, but obviously posting the super cute one-piece! If I remember correctly, the fabric is incredibly high quality, though I personally wish the part between the legs was wider.

Ending this roundup the way I started: with navy! Hermoza is a newer-to-me brand, but everyone I know who’s tried them has loved them. Naturally, this wrap style is right up my alley. Summersalt obviously isn’t new to me at all, but the one-shoulder is still a best seller and the extra compression is compelling in this awkward postpartum phase. I also like the looks of this rash guard – the zipper makes it easy to put on, and the puff sleeves add a feminine touch.

Is there one you like best for bust support? Finding that – plus long torso – feels like a unicorn. J Crew has long sizes but not always best up top unfortunately!

Thanks for the roundup. Have you tried Summersalt? Many one-piece options, with the bonus of being a female-owned, sustainable business. I’m not affiliated with the company, but I like that they offer styles that are wearable for my 40-something-year-old body.
