Here’s what we’ve been up to over the last two weeks according to my camera roll:
We all gathered together to watch the Eagles game and had the best time! I left in the middle to bring Rory home for bed. I don’t know came over me but I truly was excited and into it. Jack actually stayed up pretty late to watch a lot of the game because he was having so much fun (and then had a sleepover with his grandparents!).
I made Rory and Jack the same Valentines for their classes. (Obviously swapped their names!) I made the cards on Canva and printed through Canva too– I was very impressed with the quality! I hole punched it, threaded a thick grosgrain ribbon, and popped in a little Cutie! Thought it was a fun healthy snack that still would feel like a treat.
We go VERY light on presents for the boys. They are generally pretty spoiled between my job and having a big extended family, so it’s not like they’re going without. With that said, I think it’s important that the boys feel confident and develop their bond with their brother (cousins, friends, etc.) by picking out birthday presents on their own. It’s also QUITE the test to be unleashed in a toy store with the task of buying a present for someone else. Anyway, we had a little detour at the Hot Wheels section! This is the toy store in our town– it’s jam packed with toys and truly a vibe.
Jack’s class celebrated Valentine’s Day a day earlier and I couldn’t find a shirt for the day that I liked. So I bought a red tee at the mall and embroidered a little heart at 10pm the night before! I’m OBSESSED with how it came out and now I want to embroider…. everything!!
I got a kick out of this hand written TikTok inside joke on my Starbucks cup. (Apparently they’re doing this now?!) Made me giggle.
Jack’s preschool class wrote Valentines and mailed them to the house as a lesson. Guys. It was the cutest thing of all time. We sent in envelopes and they dropped them off to mail home. Jack went running to the mail slot to pick it up and open and hand out his Valentines. Will be saving these forever.
My mom made all the cakes for Rory’s birthday. She did the same for Jack’s and it was just so special. (Love how the rainbow sprinkles look on the cake stand.)
How cute are my parents and the boys! Jack and Rory were in heaven having Meesh and Philly here.
They’ve been filming The Housemaid in our town for the past six or so weeks just up the street from our house. And this week they filmed on our block! The group chat was buzzing. We all can’t wait to go see the movie together next winter.
I found another copy of Martha Stewart’s Entertaining. I have my mom’s copy (so special!) and couldn’t let this one pass me by when I spotted it in the bookstore.
All of my friends have been learning mahjong and it’s been great because there are so many people to play with now. One of my friends hosting a mahjong night at her house this week and it was a blast.
