DRESSES TO WEAR TO A SUMMER WEDDING

Out of all the seasons, I like shopping for dresses to wear to a summer wedding the best. There’s usually more dress code flexibility, so you have a better chance at getting a lot of wear out of them. Plus, you can play with the colors and prints! Working on this roundup was so much fun.

PERIWINKLE SCALLOPED // YELLOW MIDI (under $200!) // FUCHSIA EYELET //  IVORY + GREEN FLORAL // BLUE FLORAL // RED RIC RAC

GREEN FLORAL // GREEN SEQUIN // FLORAL EYELET (under $200!) // FLORAL SHIFT // PINK PLEATED // PINK MAXI

I’m personally on the hunt for anything nursing friendly right now, so obviously I gravitated toward this nap dress with bows AND scallops in the prettiest periwinkle blue. Butter yellow is such an “it” color for the summer and this midi is just as chic as can be. I didn’t notice it at first, but if you look closely, this fuchsia maxi’s eyelet has pineapples on it! The perfect tropical beach wedding guest dress without being too on the nose. I’m surprised this ivory and green floral midi is still in stock– it’s timeless, elegant, and you can even purchase the coordinating heels! I found this blue floral dress while scrolling LTK, and frankly, it stopped me in my tracks. You can tie the bow in the front or around the back, and it looks nursing friendly either way. I’ve been on a red kick lately– and a pink one! The oversized ric rac on this midi is such a fun statement.

Fanm Mon’s dresses always have the most beautiful embroidery, and this floral midi is the perfect example. It’s a work of art and one of my favorite summer wedding guest dresses of the roundup. This dress isn’t necessarily “on brand” but I love it. Oversized sequins have never looked so chic! Tiered dresses like this are perfect for twirling, and I think the pops of lilac in the floral eyelet fabric are so pretty. Cara Cara designs some of my favorite prints (remember the one from my first pregnancy announcement?!), including the bold cobalt one on this shift. The moment I saw this pink pleated dress, it reminded me of the kind of attire for summer weddings a ballerina would wear. Finally there’s this pink maxi with elegant bows on the shoulders. J’adore!
