FALL CAPSULE WARDROBE

I’ll admit, I’ve struggled a little to get excited about fall this year! Even though I’ve always looked forward to this season, I found myself holding on to every last minute of summer, trying to soak up all that it had to offer well after Labor Day. I think part of me is apprehensive about what comes after fall – i.e., the holidays and winter. I’m nervous about the craziness of Q4, juggling work and motherhood, and navigating winter with an active baby who loves being outside. Creating new routines feels slightly daunting, but I know we’ll find our rhythm eventually. For now, I’m trying to take it one day at a time as best as possible, and part of that looks like leaning into my fall joy triggers, like crisp morning walks with Jack and cozy fall afternoons catching up on work with Gilmore Girls in the background. I know this time will fly by before I know it, and I want to make the most of this season too!

One thing I can get excited about is the change of wardrobes! It’s always fun when I finally switch my closet to fall entirely. By then, I usually lack inspiration for styling my spring/summer clothes, and I’m itching for something new. It is such a nice feeling to open my closet to an array of pieces I haven’t seen in a year. I’m looking forward to reuniting with my favorite cardigan sweaters, dressing up jeans with blazers, and embracing the autumnal color palette! I was in the mood to put together a fall capsule with a few of the pieces, so here are a few pieces I’m excited about this season.

Tops: AYR Button Down // Cardigan Sweater // Ruffle Collar Button-Up // Collared Cardigan

Jackets: Blazer // Wool Blazer Jacket // Quilted Puffer Coat

Dresses: Cotton Poplin Mini Dress // Smocked Tiered Dress // Knit Midi Dress

Bottoms: Straight Jeans // Dark Wash Demi-Boot

Accessories: Woven Tote // Black Bag // Buckle Flat // Loafers // Leopard Mary Jane Flats // White Sneaker

I love this! I’m about to go do a gig in the city for three months and have been thinking of packing light with a capsule wardrobe, this is the inspiration I needed!
