Gal Meets Glam Roundup

I wanted to pop on to share a bunch of Gal Meets Glam dresses that are new and some old favorites of mine that are available again!

WHAT’S NEW:

Gal Meets Glam Serena

Serena Gal Meets Glam

SERENA (c/o)

Hello bow-perfection! This dress strikes the perfect balance of flirty and appropriate. I like how the shorter hemline can still work for many kinds of events. I picked out the green because I’m really feeling a nice green this fall… but it also comes in a grape. If you have a fall wedding, I would definitely consider one of these!

Fits true to size!

Gal Meets Glam Anya

ANYA (c/o)

I love how comfortable this dress is. Would be perfect if you live in a warmer climate but crave fall clothing. It’s a happy medium here with a loose and comfy dress in a fall-inspired print.

Fits fairly true to size, maybe slightly big. I’d go down a size if you’re smaller on top than you are on the bottom.

OLD FAVORITES

YVONNE (c/o)

This was the first ever GMG dress I got and it remains one of my favorites. I wore it for one rehearsal dinner and two different weddings. I think as far as wedding-season goes, you cannot beat this dress. I love the one-shoulder with bow, the pockets, and the length. And it works year-round, too, which makes it an extra no-brainer.

As far as sizing goes, I think it fits true to size but you may want to consider going down a size if you’re smaller chested. It’s a forgiving fit everywhere except the no-shoulder side, so you’ll want to make sure you have a secure fit around the chest there.

LIZA (c/o)

This dress is a SHOWSTOPPER. While I have a ton of the dressier GMG dresses, I love that this one works with sandals for casual daytime errands just as much it would with a pair of nude heels for a night out. They brought back the dress in a new colorway for this fall and it’s gorgeous.

It fits true to size, but if you don’t prefer a tailored fit around the ribcage or you want a little more wiggle room, go up a size.

ADDISON (c/o)

A gorgeous green wrap dress! It’s available again in three colors– although I think the olive is the most versatile and will transition well through fall.

I think it runs slightly big– so consider going down a size if you’re smaller chested and/or shouldered. The wrap dress does allow for a relatively customized fit though!

CELESTE

Oh, the Celeste dress. I think this might be the GMG dress I’ve seen the most of online. And for good reason. It just looks good. I originally had it in the navy and then bought the berry too. I really wanted the cream but it sold out before I could get it so I hunted it down on a second-hand website. But it’s BACK!

It runs small, so definitely go up a size.

Maggie

MAGGIE

You’ll have to forgive me as this is the only photo I could find of me wearing the Maggie dress. I love the style of this one. It’s similar to the Celeste, but with puffier cropped sleeves and a great ribbed texture. Super nice for fall days. I have the navy (naturally) and it also comes in a pretty mauve.

This one fits very true to size. But don’t panic if it doesn’t look good when you’re slipping into it. Zip it up all the way before making your final judgment. I almost returned it because it looked weird half-way zipped and didn’t bother zipping it up all the way… but I’m glad I did!

Hi, I would like to confess my extreme love for GMG with you! Every single dress is amazing. Like I do not know where Julia gets her genius, but omg does she an eye for dresses or what! Every month there is about 5 new dresses I want to add to my collection, and I love how timeless the silhouettes, color and prints are! I also have the Celeste and addison dresses, and they are so perfect and will be in my closet for ever! You are so lucky to have a beautiful girlfriend like Julia 🙂 Cheers to GMG!

I have one of her winter 2018 dresses! I’ve worn it to a birthday dinner and wedding. I plan to wear it to more weddings in the future. I always get compliments! I wish the sizing was consistent. I did have to order 5 dresses then return all but 4 in order to get the right size despite speaking with an agent about measurements and fit. They run very large- I’m a 6/8 standard dress size and a 00 in her line lol.

The Serena dress in green may just have to join the other GMG dresses in my closet. Bows and pockets?! Love. I’ve been looking for a green dress, so thanks for bringing this one to my attention.
