We’re really getting into the swing of things now!! Our home is quickly being transformed into the set of a Hallmark movie and I’m loving it. Inspired by Annie Meyers-Shyer (yes, as in Nancy Meyers!!) on Instagram, I created a mood board for what I want our home to look and feel like this holiday. It may sound a little extra, but the visual really helped me organize my thoughts. As a mini-sequel of sorts, I thought it’d be fun to put together some holiday gift wrapping ideas based on the kind of vibe you’re going for this season.
This combination is 100% classic, but also feels special because of the mix of textures. The pearlescent wrapping paper (which comes in a lot of other gorgeous colors!) has a magical, elevated shine, while the “ric rac” red and white ribbon is felt, which makes it feel nostalgic and homemade. Together I think they represent the beauty of Christmas. Once I saw these North Pole Express gift tags, I knew I had to include them in this holiday gift wrap ideas roundup. The concept and execution are just darling, and they match the ribbon perfectly.
If you took a peek at my holiday mood board, you may have noticed that I’m leaning into kraft wrapping paper this year. It’s so simple and versatile– and I think the boys could have some fun decorating it too! I’ll be pairing the kraft paper with solid ribbon, but I thought this “Merry Christmas” ribbon was fun. A little on the nose? Sure, but I don’t mind it! Rifle Paper Co. always has the most whimsical, colorful designs, and these gift tags were just the pop of color this combination needed. (Plus, the shade of red on the tag matches the red on the ribbon… It’s the little things!)
This holiday gift wrap idea is more “generic” but (I think) still beautiful. Everything else in the roundup is from Amazon except for the wrapping paper by Danika Herrick, which looks like it could be Serena & Lily or Schumacher. (She has more designs on Zazzle, and a million others on Spoonflower!) The green velvet ribbon provides such a rich contrast, and while I wouldn’t normally go for a frayed look, it just spoke to me! The deckled edge gift tags feel like such a unique, organic finishing touch. And if you consider yourself artsy, you could add little illustrations on them!
Love the creativity options with the Kraft paper!
