A couple of weeks ago, I started getting a bunch of questions about the Lake Pajamas sale and when it would be happening. In my head I kept wondering why there was such an uptick in questions… it’s usually not until the end of July. Then I realized. Oh, it is the end of July already. (How?!)
Anyway! THE SALE IS HERE! They usually only do this sale and then one around the holidays, so if you want the pajamas it’s the best time to buy. I am a self-proclaimed pajama aficionado and Lake Pajamas are some of my favorites.
WHICH STYLES ARE MY FAVORITE?
The ones I have are the short/short, the long/short, and the long/long. It’s hard to choose a favorite because I like all three of the sets so much… but I always wear the long/long pair first when it’s freshly washed, then my long/short sets, then my short/short.
WHAT SIZE DO YOU HAVE?
I used to buy a mix of XS and Small (not sure why but I had a mix at the beginning of my collecting!). Now I exclusively buy smalls so I don’t have to worry about shrinkage. They do shrink a bit so keep that in mind.
HOW DO YOU WASH THEM?
I wash and dry regularly– I don’t do anything special and honestly they’ve all lived to tell the tale.
ARE THEY WORTH THE PRICE?
They’re definitely expensive pajamas and, frankly, they’re not the most ~flattering~ on. (They are decidedly not sexy.) With that said, the pima cotton is unbelievably soft. They are so, so comfortable to wear throughout the night and great during lazy days during a pandemic too– I put that to the test.
PS My striped dress from them is also on sale!! It’s super soft and stretchy as well.

Got a pair as a Christmas present last year and was so excited! Unfortunately, mine were destroyed in the wash very quickly – within a couple of washes! They do shrink, as Carly mentioned, and mine became discolored and a hole developed in the bottoms. If I could go back in time I would follow the washing instructions to a T. But, they are extremely soft!
Lake Pajamas are my absolute favorite! They are pricey for pajamas but the quality and comfort are definitely worth it. I also sized up and have had great results washing on cold and drying on ultra low.
