I finally got a dresser for our bedroom. My clothes had been stacked in piles and stored in all kinds of bags while I waited for the dresser to be delivered. While I was putting away my sweaters and t-shirts, I realized that I had quite a few grey sweaters. At first I felt like it was borderline too many, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I love wearing grey sweaters and the ones I have are all pretty different. To me, a grey sweater is just as important of a staple in my closet as a pair of jeans is.
It should no surprise then that when I saw this sweater online, it was a no-brainer buy.
The leather panels on the sleeves are what really sold me. Duh. I couldn’t say no.

Hey Carly! Quick question regarding this outfit: How on earth do you get your button up/sweater layering to not look frumpy? Every time I try to imitate this kind of look I end up failing. Any advice you (or anyone else) can offer would be much appreciated 🙂
Item number one on my mile long to do list: decorate the boys’ bedroom for Christmas! ⛄️ ❤️🎄🎅🏻❄️ I try not to go overboard with things, but I simply couldn’t resist Santa sheets and a paper chain (oh and a mini Christmas tree…). I may have risked my life getting the paper chain hung and it adds so much charm I think I’ll keep it up year round… or until the tape gives out at least!
MHot chocolate magic on the eve of December 1! 🍫☕️✨Filmed this thinking I was going to mute the audio for stories but then when I edited it I realized how much I love the background sounds! Rory banging for more Cheerios in the background, Jack wanting marshmallows, a Christmas playlist in the background!
Holiday magic is in full swing at our house, and this year we’ve added a new tradition: listening to classic holiday audiobooks together! 🎄✨ From How the Grinch Stole Christmas! to A Christmas Carol, @audible has been a lifesaver, turning everyday moments like car rides and baking cookies into cozy family memories. 🥰 Bonus: new customers can get Audible Premium Plus for just $0.99 for 3 months (and a $20 credit if you sign up by 12/2)! 🎄 #AudiblePartner #audible #amazoninfluencer @amazoninfluencerprogram
It usually takes 10x longer, is way messier, and requires a lot more patience to do things with a three year old toddler… but it’s also kind of magic. (You know, once the cracked eggs are cleaned up from the hardwood floor of course…) 👩🏻🍳 🧑🏼🍳
Christmas came early this year 🎁✨ My mom completely surprised me with her original copy of Entertaining by @marthastewart48 —her very first book! This was on my totally delusional wish list, and I can’t believe she not only still had it but actually gave it to me 🥹. Growing up, my mom was the ultimate “Martha Stewart mom,” making every holiday, party, and little moment feel so magical for my sister and me. Receiving this feels like such a special passing of the torch, and I hope I can carry on even a fraction of the thoughtfulness and creativity she poured into everything for my own children. Feeling so inspired (and emotional!) about this gift. 💕 Can’t wait to sit down and read this! #ChristmasSurprise #EntertainingByMartha #FamilyTraditions @marthastewart
