I put together another outfit to celebrate Macy’s markdown event that starts today and runs through the 29th. Receive 20% off sale with code “BIG” at checkout. So many great things are marked down even more so now is a good time to stock up on some essentials if you’re in the market or have had your eye on something.
This is such a “Carly” outfit. There’s something about yellow rain jackets that just get me every time and I wear an iteration of jeans + a striped shirt at least a couple of times a week!
This rain jacket caught my eye. It’s bright, but has a really nice tone to it where the yellow isn’t totally fluorescent. The detailing is also just darling, like the navy and red at the end of the drawstring and the polka dot lining. (It also comes in a navy with striped lining if you want something a bit more subtle.) I always travel with a rain jacket of some sort, especially on Nantucket where you could have sunshine one minute and a downpour the next. It also serves as a nice windbreaker should it just be a little chilly. If you want a tailored jacket, go with your usual size and if you want something looser to wear with thick sweaters, go up a size. I bought an XS and, while it fits, I would buy a small if I were to repurchase.
The brand, Maison Jules, is exclusive to Macy’s and I have to say, I’m super into it. One of the fun challenges of putting together these sponsored posts is that I can put together any kind of outfit! I end up spending quite a bit of time poring over the website to find perfect items that you guys will like. Maison Jules has so many items that I loved. I bought this jumpsuit and oh-my-goodness I love it!!!! So many people asked where it was from and I highly recommend it. I would size up if you have curves around your hips/butt because with the belt you can still get a nice fit.
This shirt was a no-brainer for the outfit. Navy and white stripes and gold buttons on the shoulder. What could be better? I also went with a small for this shirt… it’s very form fitting and I’m more comfortable in a looser tee.
I just had to wear these boat shoes with the outfit. I have had these since high school (I want to say 2006…) and they are still going strong. They were my regatta shoes and for about five years I even had a little “lucky” pebble in one of them. The pebble has since disappeared, but I still think of my shoes as good luck, haha! (PS here’s how I tie the laces.)
Thank you Macy’s and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post!
