An October Friday the 13th?! Spooky! This week was a bit of a tough one. I was feeling a little under the weather to begin with, then add some weird pregnancy symptoms, and devastating world events… I’ve been trying to stay positive. I’m actually going to see my best friend in Boston today for an already planned trip and I’m so glad I had this to look forward to.
Here’s what was on my radar this week:
ONE // Donations for Israel
If you have felt helpless about the terrorist attacks in Israel, you’re not alone. I’ve been struggling to personally process everything. Half of my family is Jewish and this has just been a really difficult week all around. Michael Bloomberg is matching all donations made to the American Friends of Magen David Adom organization– your donation will go twice as far here with the match program.
TWO // Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
I listen to the “What We Said” podcast and Jaci and Chelsey have been talking about making homemade cinnamon rolls. Honestly, I agree with them that the thought of making them homemade does sound a little intimidating. These pumpkin cinnamon rolls look so delicious that I think they’d be well worth the effort. (I think the maple cream cheese icing is going to be the best part though….)
THREE // Quilted Barn Jacket
This jacket has quickly become a staple for me this fall already. It’s priced very well and the perfect weight to layer on chilly fall days. I think it’d work for mild winter days as well– especially with the right sweater underneath. (Or if you just live in a more mild climate.) It comes with a removable corduroy collar, too so you can mix up the look! The best part to me, though, is the length. (I’m wearing it in this Instagram post!)
FOUR // Embroidered Silicone Phone Case
I love this adorable craft idea to embroider a silicone phone case. It seems pretty straight forward– you just need some muscle to push the needle through the case. But otherwise, the world is your oyster when it comes to the designs you could create. I have been thinking about doing a girls’ craft night and this is topping my list of crafting options.
FIVE // Slim Fit Tank Tops
A bit of a random “fashion find,” but I am so obsessed with these I have to keep sharing them. I bought these tank tops to wear under sweaters and they are just amazing, especially if you have a bump. I got multiple black, white, and navy ones to rotate through and pretty much wear one every day. Even just to lounge around in the house (I’ve been so hot while pregnant!) with leggings or to bed with pajama bottoms.
