I am having a “yes” problem right now. I go through serious phases with saying yes or no. I either stand my ground and say no to everything or I can’t help myself and say yes to everything. I wish I could figure out some kind of balance… I thought once I hit August that my travel schedule might slow down a bit, but I’ve been accumulating at least one trip every single week through September. Everything just sounds so fun and I can just feel the FOMO setting in if I don’t say yes.
One thing that I absolutely couldn’t say no to? Heading up to Orvis Sandanona with the Barbour and Land Rover teams. It was such a fun day of dogs, food, outdoors, and driving. (The off-roading in the Land Rover was not my finest moment…. I’ll stick to paved roads from here on out.) I was thankful to hear that my pal Meghan was coming too and showed up wearing nearly identical outfits. I swear I am not one of those people who wears boots just because there was a ~slight~ chill in the air even in August, but I swear it was the most gorgeous afternoon and you could get away with a light vest or coat on (in the shade).
Wearing: Similar Shirt // Jacket (c/o) // Jeans // Sneaks // Bandana
Barbour, Orvis, and Land Rover teamed up to create a one of kind Barbour Defender for a giveaway. The winner was at the event too and she was so excited to get her car. I was pretty jealous, especially when I saw the tartan SEATS and benches in the back.
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // Crazy Rich Asians
We got back from the beach early Sunday morning and my friend Taylor and I went to Target to just wander. It was lazy and so relaxing… so to continue the ~vibes~ I went to an afternoon showing of Crazy Rich Asians. It was AMAZING. Amazing. It has been my favorite movie of the year (and I’ve seen a lot of movies). I thought they perfectly nailed both the romance and the comedy of a successful RomCon. I laughed a lot and I also cried multiple times. (I wouldn’t consider this a spoiler, but the wedding scene gave me head to toe goosebumps. It was beautiful.)
TWO // Tuckernuck’s August Guide
If you are in need of some late summer style inspiration, look no further than Tuckernuck’s August guide! Their outfits are always on point. They shot this lookbook in Maine so not only are the clothes cute, the backdrops are just as stunning. PS They also just added a bunch of new sale styles, including… one of my favorite tops from the summer!
THREE // Katelyn Ohashi’s Journey
I’m obsessed with watching college gymnasts compete– it’s so much fun. They are super talented, but they’re also allowed to be themselves (versus strict rules). This video about Katelyn Ohashi’s gymnastics journey popped up on my explore page. It’s incredibly inspiring. I highly recommend watching as I think she demonstrated a lot of personal strength and made hard choices that she needed to make for her own health, happiness, and overall wellbeing.
FOUR // KJP’s Embroidered Tennis Sweater
I couldn’t resist buying one of Kiel and Sarah’s newest sweaters. The collection is totally to die for and the monogramming completely elevates it. The sweaters look like something my parents wore in the 80s!
FIVE // Maxie McCoy’s BOOK TOUR
Seriously one of the highlights of this week was Maxie’s book launching. It was so cool to see her book popping up all over social media. Definitely let me know if you read or listened to it… I (obviously) loved it. She’s hosting a book tour and guess who’s taking the stage with her for the NYC leg??? ME! I hope you’re able to attend; it should be a TON of fun. And if you’re not in NYC, check here to see if she’s coming to a city near you.
I know that FOMO feel, I get it all the time, especially as I’m an introvert and always turn down invites! So you’re not alone, haha! 🙂
I keep hearing about Crazy Rich Asians, but I feel like I should read the book first. Might do that soon! 🙂

I totally agree about the wedding scene in Crazy Rich Asians! I started crying, too! It made me want to get married all over again…. and go to Singapore!
Just got an email from Amazon that Maxie’s book will be arriving at my house today! So excited!
I haven’t watched Crazy Rich Asians yet, but everyone is talking great things about it.
However I’m loving “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” movie, just can’t stop watching it! ❤❤
Have you seen it, Carly?

Crazy Rich Asians movie was great but the book series is even better! Also, I have to second this comment about Netflix’s “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”… I’m going on 50 screenings I think, haha. So good!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing the Tuckernuck guide! I always find the transition times (especially summer to fall) so difficult for planning and choosing outfits. The guide combines summer and fall perfectly!

I saw the Tuckernuck August lookbook and its SOOOOO adorable! I LOVED the backdrop! Makes me want to go to Maine ASAP. Watching gymnasts are the best! It’s so fascinating and they make it look so easy. That Land Rover is the coolest car ever!!! I’d love to drive that thing, so fun you got to test it out!

Absolutely LOVE that you added Katelyn’s journey on here. She is such a strong young lady and not enough people know about her story. Thank you for adding that in this week’s post!
