I took off a bit more time than I had originally anticipated. I’ve just been having too much fun with my family and didn’t want to crack my laptop open. But I’m back today feeling completely refreshed and recharged…
Even though I haven’t been on my computer as much this week, I still found quite a few great things around the web:
ONE // Laurie Hernandez Learns a Nutcracker Dance
Laurie Hernandez was one of my favorite gymnasts during the summer Olympics. (Well, I loved them all!) I didn’t get a chance to watch Dancing with the Stars, but I’d catch a video here and there on Facebook. Laurie is incredible!!! I just feel like she’d be a blast to be around! Anyway…. she teamed up with Teen Vogue to learn a routine from the Nutcracker with the New York City Ballet. Loved it and I think you will too.
TWO // Flippin’ Out Gymnastics Channel
One of my favorite vlog channels on Youtube is Millennial Life Crisis by Monica Church. Her vlogs are short and sweet and feel like mini-documentaries. (Be warned: you may fall into a black hole of watching all of them!!!) She just launched a gymnastics channel and it’s the cutest thing in the world. It feels like a television series; the girls from the gym are adorable.
THREE // 2017 Agenda
I got a paper planner!!! I started to feel all over the place towards the last quarter of 2016 and needed to make a change to my “system.” I use Google Calendar for all of my scheduling (appointments/travel/meetings etc. ) and a big notebook for my daily notes/tasks, but for 2017 I’m adding in a paper planner for my blog/social media related scheduling and planning. This planner caught my eye, and I immediately purchased. I love the month-at-a-glance view… and I love that the days have checkboxes for tasks versus more standard time-schedule slots. The hope is that this is where I can keep track of all of my social post schedule.
FOUR // School Raises Money for Student’s Shoes
This is such a sweet video of a boy receiving two pairs of shoes from his fellow students. When they found out the shoes he was wearing was too small, they pooled their money to purchase two new pairs for him. Not only is this just a heartwarming video, I thought all the students demonstrated gracious giving and receiving.
FIVE // Nicole Kidman Early Modeling Photos
Ending today’s post with a laugh! I was crying laughing at this video of Nicole Kidman. The host starts pulling up early modeling photos of Nicole Kidman and each is worst than the last. Bahaha!
Hope you guys have a great weekend! I’m back tomorrow with my annual “favorites” list.
I love the 2017 agenda you got. I keep a physical planner every year, but this year I’ve been super last minute with getting mine. I finally bought one the other day but it’s slightly overpriced because I was desperate… erm, oops?
I’m going to check out Nicole Kidman’s photos right now. Need a trip down memory lane.

I love having a paper agenda/planner. I also use calendars on my phone but writing something down just helps it stick!

I am kicking myself that I didn’t buy this skirt when they still had it in stock in my size! So cute!
Omg those Nicole Kidman photos are too funny! I’m cracking up, haha!! xo Devon Seventeen Dresses
I look forward to these posts every week! Love the agenda. I have a Google calendar, but the act of writing it down helps me remember things better! So I use both. Hope you find it beneficial!
I love these posts so much! The agenda you got is absolutely adorable! I tried to switch to an electronic agenda as well and found that it wasn’t as useful as a paper one, so I switched back!

I can’t live without my paper planner! A few years ago I used a Lilly Pulitzer planner and it was absolutely beautiful, but then I switched to a plain gridded notebook and I haven’t looked back since! Although this coming semester, I’m planning to try out Google Calendar in addition to my paper planner. -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
