I’ve been down the shore with Jack, Mike, and Mike’s parents this week. We skipped actual Labor Day weekend to avoid the crowds and we’ve just been having a lovely, low-key week here. I was pretty anxious about leaving our house and getting out of our “routine” (I use that loosely lol), but Jack adjusted with no problems. I imagine traveling with a newborn is as easy as it gets as far as traveling with kids goes…
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // Tracee Ellis Ross’ J. Crew Campaign
I think this is one of J. Crew’s most fun campaigns in a while! I love the photography and Tracee Ellis Ross totally lights up in every photo! I was so inspired that I found myself adding item after item in my cart. Lots of great basics included in the new arrivals. I’ve been on the hunt for nursing-friendly tops/sweaters and I’m also a ways away from fitting into my pre-pregnancy clothes so I wanted to get a few things to round out my closet. A few things I’m most excited about: wide leg sweater pants (tbd on if I can pull these off), half-zip sweatshirt, flannel plaid popover dress, and this red cropped cardigan sweater.
TWO // The “Magic” Burp
This is for anyone out there with a new mom. Maybe this is widely known already, but it was new to me! I saw this shared in the Reddit group I’m in about the “magic” burp. I was skeptical. But, um, it works every time. Like magic!!! It’s also way more effective and seems to do the trick right away instead of having to do a marathon burping session.
THREE // Loeffler Randal’s New Arrivals
Absolutely loving Loeffler Randal’s collection of new arrivals. I love the idea of dusty pink for fall, but it’s hard to nail. Well, they nailed it! The plaid with the browns and rusty reds and pinks?! I want it all. This quilted pouch and matching baby bag (comes with a changing pad too). and these darling hair bows top my list of faves.
FOUR // Dancing With the Stars
While I’ve never seen a season of Dancing With the Stars, I will absolutely be tuning in for this season. It seems like such a great line up of competitors, including my favorite Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby and Jojo Siwa (who will be the first contestant dancing with a same-sex partner!). Who else will be tuning in?!
FIVE // Cute Halloween Costumes
Tell me you’re a first time mom, without telling me you’re a first time mom. I’ll go first 😉 I already bought Jack’s Halloween costume, ha! During my search, I found this adorable Etsy shop filled with fun food-related costumes for babies, kids, and adults. They’re fun but classic and look a lot better than what you’d find in a Halloween costume shop for sure!
Great photo of your family!
So glad you had a great week! I always look forward to your halloween costumes so i can’t wait to see Jack’s!
