Hello from Hoboken!!! I’m going to be doing a longer post about my move, but I just have to give a quick shout out to Get There Moving. I found them via Yelp, and they were absolutely incredible helping with the move.
Even though I officially moved yesterday, I have to go back to Connecticut today to get my dogs and get the radio in my car fixed and do one final sweep of my apartment. While I’m feeling okay right now, I’m still in that ~totally overwhelmed~ stage of the move because I still have a lot of unpacking and organizing to do. I don’t know if anyone else finds it hard to concentrate with a mess, but that is me. AND being in a new place with a new rhythm and just trying to get situated. I feel a little out of sorts, so I’m hoping to take some time to get everything in order.
Ham and Teddy enjoying their last few days in Connecticut! I know I sound like a psycho dog mom, but I wish they could understand me so I can tell them what’s happening! They were so freaked out when I was packing things in boxes and it broke my heart a bit.
ONE // 9/11 5K Run/Walk
I had been planning on running the 9/11 Memorial and Museum’s 5k later this spring, but unfortunately, something that I absolutely cannot miss came up and I’ll be out of town. If you’re in the NYC area and want to participate, you can use the code “PREP5K” at checkout for $5 off adult registration. I hope some of you guys can make it!
TWO // College Note Taking with the iPad Pro
One night when I was procrastinating, I fell pretty deep into a hole of amazing organization videos on Youtube. This one about taking notes in college on an iPad made me wish I was back in school!!!
THREE // Cashmere Travel Wrap
Cashmere is probably my one weakness when it comes to clothes. I can generally talk myself out of expensive things, but cashmere is worth it. One of my favorite cashmere pieces is an oversized scarf that I bought years and years ago on sale. Tuckernuck has a whole line of colored cashmere scarves right now– definitely worth investing in!
FOUR // Rainbow Pasta
Okay, Linda is an artist… but her medium of choice isn’t oil or clay. It’s PASTA. And seriously, her pasta creations are true works of art.
FIVE // Pentatonix “Havana” Cover
Anyone else obsessed with the song “Havana”? I looooooove it. Every time it comes on the radio, I start singing along. Pentatonix did a cover and they nail it, as they always do!
Anything fun on your radar this week?
It’s normal to feel overwhelmed when you’re making a big move, Carly. But you’ll do fine once you settle! 🙂
The rainbow pasta is so photogenic! I’d love to make it someday, haha!
Hope you have a great Friday! ❤️

Hope you have time to relax, unpack, and enjoy your new town this weekend! Best wishes!
My dog gets super anxious when I move too! My vet said it’s really common. I’ve moved 4 times in the past 2 years, and the best thing I can do for him is try to spend some extra time at home with him at the new place and start his new daycare ASAP. They will adjust!!
I LOVE Camilla’s Havana and Pentatonix is so incredibly talented! Fabulous! What a talented bunch!
And the rainbow pasta…amazing!!!
Congrats on the move, Carly! Enjoy your first weekend in your new space!
Such a cute photo of Teddy & Hamilton! Can’t wait to hear more about your move to Hoboken and see details from around the city!

Good luck getting situated! That pasta art is so cool – such creativity! On my radar this week is planning Oscars night – I saw gold flecked Rice Krispie treats and they look perfect for the occasion. xAllie http://www.theallthatglittersblog.com
Hoboken is such a cute little town, and I think you’re going to do SO well there. I’m sure all that the stress and overwhelm will be worth it once you get settled.
I’ve recently started listening to “West Cork,” which is a true crime story/podcast through Audible (it’s free for a limited time, too!), and it is SO good! Very interesting and suspenseful, very well-done, and even a little bit cozy – perfect for these rainy days. I definitely recommend it!
That rainbow pasta is amazing! I love how she turned food into an art form.
I absolutely understand your moving woes! I moved like 8 times in the last 9 years and my least favorite part is about halfway through unpacking when I’m just so exhausted and it feels insurmountable. But then it’s done and you have a home again!
Can’t wait to read the longer post about your move! Hope you’re starting to feel settled in!

I feel ya! I am moving in exactly a month from today and although the new place is nicer and I am so ready for a move, I am also nervous and stressed out about it. Just wish it could be here already and I could get it over with.
Congrats on your move and moving in with your boyfriend, that is so exciting and I look forward to seeing your apartment posts if you share any 🙂
I live in Hoboken 🙂 let me know if you need any reccos. I highly recommend Otto Strada (BYOB italian/pizza), Sushi Lounge and Anthony Davids!
Love the colourful pasta! For someone who’s Italian pasta is a staple and this makes it so fun!

My mom LOVES cashmere scarves, especially for travel, because it’s so packable, so light, and so warm. Her love of cashmere scarves rubbed off on me 😛 // Also loving the iPad Pro video! I have several friends who started using their iPad to take notes in class since last semester. -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
Where do you listen to your podcasts? Is there an app? I am going on a road trip and would like to find some to listen too! Thanks!
I just use the podcast app that iPhones come with!
Ahhh so random but I used Get There Moving the last two times I’ve moved in NYC and they are AMAZING! I tell everyone I know to use them. Love the shout out 🙂
