ON MY RADAR

Well this week was certainly a rollercoaster. The beginning of the week was tough mentally and then things turned around mid-week! We had some beautiful spring-like weather (in January! such a treat!) so I took Jack out for a very, very long walk. And Mike and I even got to go out on a date… only our second time ever being without Jack.

Here is what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // Axel Webber

If you’re on TikTok, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Axel Webber. He recently moved to NYC and started posting about living the city’s “smallest apartment” ahead of his audition for Juilliard. He went viral, to put it lightly! He has such good charisma on camera… He, unfortunately, didn’t get into Juilliard but it seems like it may be a blessing in disguise as he continues to win over people’s hearts on the app!

TWO // Sandy Lion Stickers

It feels so lame, but we’re in a pandemic winter (again) and what else is there to do. I’m putting together little Valentine’s for my friends’ kids “from” Jack. Who doesn’t like to receive a little snail mail!? I wanted to put cute little stickers inside the envelopes before mailing, but couldn’t find what I was looking for. I kept thinking, “Why don’t they make them like they did when we were kids….?” And that led me down a rabbit hole rediscovering Sandy Lion stickers. Childhood memories came flooding back. I ended up buying a lot of vintage ones on Etsy and I can’t wait for them to arrive!

THREE // Half Baked Harvest’s Favorite Healthy Recipes

Are you looking to add some new recipes to your repertoire this year?! Ever since Jack was born I haven’t been able to get my act together to cook dinner. (Thankful Mike enjoys cooking, otherwise we’d be having takeout every night.) I really, really want to try to get better about finding time to grocery shop and make meals again. I Love Half Baked Harvest recipes and I’m going to try some of these!

FOUR // Button Back Striped Sweater

Well, I’m obsessed with this sweater. I love the buttons down the back, and you can also wear them down the front like a cardigan. I have more than enough sweaters, but it’s really calling my name what can I say! If you want the look for less (no buttons sadly though), this one from Old Navy is super cute as well.

FIVE // Book Signing at Oxford Exchange in Tampa!

In a few weeks, I’ll be heading down to Tampa for a book signing at Oxford Exchange. This is definitely a pinch me moment– I can’t wait to meet everyone and sign some books 🥰 Hope to see you there!

I send Galentine’s cards out to my girlfriends every year. They’re cheesy but everyone does love snail mail! What a sweet idea to be from Jack, and those stickers are such a throwback!

Wow-those stickers were a total flashback. My dad would take me to a fun store and let me pick which ones I wanted and then rip the section off the rolls they had hanging on the wall. And then I was so obsessed with them I created a sticker scrapbook and refused to actually use the stickers. Just glued the sheets into a scrapbook. To admire. Haha!

A good friend of mine from college sent me a Valentine last year from her 2-year-old with his little handprint on it, and I still have it hanging up. It’s so sweet! <3

Good luck at your signing! And yes I used to love hoarding stickers but never actually using them too!

I feel you on the Sandy Lion stickers or Lisa Frank or any stickers tbh… I could never commit to sticking them anywhere. And as you posted I am now an anxious adult! HA!
