Picking the Perfect Pumpkin

When October rolled around, I knew I wanted to go on an adventure to find the perfect pumpkin. I’ll probably buy a couple more from a local nursery, but I wanted to go to a PYO spot too. A reader that I’m friends with on Facebook went to Lyman’s Orchards and posted a photo. I’ve seen billboards for the Lyman’s on I95, so I knew it had to be close. The pumpkin patch there is heaven!

It took a while to get there with traffic and then we had a hard time finding the patch (it’s tucked away behind the apple trees). The journey was beyond worth it though. Once we got there, we were greeted with views of fall foliage from every direction as far as the eye could see. And so, so many pumpkins.

I kept things super simple with what is basically my everyday uniform as of late. Sweater, jeans, and my fave sneaks. While it’s still too warm for a coat most days, the evenings and mornings are cool, so I’ve been keeping my Barbour coat in the backseat just in case.

My Superga sneaks are well-loved. Once they’re broken in (took a few wears for me), they are crazy comfortable. I reach for them nearly every day and love the casual look. Kate Middleton likes them too, so you know, definitely a must-have.

Loving the zipper detailing on the sleeves. With the ruffle, it’s kind of like having a built-in scarf that you don’t have to fuss with. The sweater comes in a chic black as well!
