PLAID TIDINGS WITH J. CREW

This post is sponsored by my go-to retailer for holiday outfits…. J. CREW. It goes without saying that not only does J. Crew have you covered for your everyday basics, it also is the destination for all things festive. (Plus a great spot for gifts for the whole family.)

When I’m picking out outfits for holiday festivities, I usually find myself gravitating towards dresses first. But this time around, I was really drawn to this classic fit flannel plaid shirt and then built the whole outfit around it. It’s a fun reminder to know you don’t have to go with a dress for the holidays!

I love a lot about this shirt. First and foremost, it’s nursing friendly since it’s a button down! And I also love that the plaid is a mix of burgundy, pink, and red. There’s even a little hint of blue, too. It’s festive without screaming holiday so you don’t have to retire it after Christmas. (Would be so cute with casual jeans and sneakers, too.)

And then these PANTS!! I saw them on TikTok and immediately wanted them. If you are searching for a great pair of slacks, don’t think twice about adding these to your cart. They’re super, super comfortable with the tiniest hint of stretch so they hold their sharp shape while still allowing you to move around comfortably. A great option for work, if you’re back in an office setting. They’re tailored through the knee and then “kick out” slightly at the bottom– very on trend while still being a classic staple.

When I tell you that this is the first pair of pants I’ve felt genuinely good in since last December!!! They just feel so good on and I feel chic wearing them too. I got a little anxious before I went to put them on, bracing myself for the worst and then, BAM, loved them!

(I didn’t tailor them yet, but I think I’m going to have them hemmed slightly so I can wear them with flats too.)

Such a festive outfit – the colors are beautiful on you. I live in New England, so the shoes would not be appropriate this time of year, but for Christmas in Tampa they will surely be a hit. Cheers!

I’m heading back to the office in February and bought three pairs of these pants (navy, black, ivory) earlier in the fall with that in mind. Love them!
