Rugby Dress

Ah! I had a few rugby dresses back in the day and I’m so happy to see that they’re coming back. I had a Lacoste one that I wore all the time in high school. It’s fun to see trends come back around!

This dress is from Nordstrom’s new 1901 line. It’s very J. Crew-esque with basics and fun items too. I actually spotted the line when I went to Nordstrom to see Julia’s Gal Meets Glam line. I saw this super cute gingham dress and took a photo of the label to look it up online when I got home.

A day later someone from Nordstrom emailed me to share the line and offered to send a few pieces. Perfect timing!! The rugby dress really called my name. The navy and white is so “me,” and it comes in three additional colorways. (The dress I wore in the post with Zyrtec is also from the line!)

I wore this for a pretty casual errand look for the post. So sporty! This is how I think I’ll wear it the most, maybe switching in some Jack Rogers here and there. But I also have a feeling I’ll bring it to the beach with me as a coverup that I can comfortably wear out and about.

I also have a give a little nod to my favorite sneaks ever. These Supergas are amazing. If you look really closely at them, you can tell that they’re kind of falling apart at this point. Not because they’re not great quality, it’s just that I wear them that much. I also throw them in the washer every few months to brighten up the white (use Oxyclean, it’s my secret weapon) and I think the tumbling around has aged them a little more.

Does anyone else love baseball hats? I’m all about a hat during the summer for sun protection and to tame my hair a bit. (Or hide dirty hair, whatever.) I have a giant collection that I rotate through, but you can’t go wrong with a white one– especially if you have dark hair like me!

Thoughts?! Anyone else happy to see the return of the rugby?
