CARLY SUMMER FAMILY PHOTO OUTFITS

I wanted to do a fun round up of summer family photo outfits. These have been so fun to put together and I’ve been getting requests for more family photo outfit ideas, so I’m more than happy to oblige. It kind of feels like the old school blogging days! With our own family photos, my strategy is to always work on coordination instead of being overly matchy-matchy. Even between same-sex siblings, I think coordination ends up photographing better than exact matching. It gives the photo a little visual interest– plus you’re able to take into account your children’s personalities and give each of them their “moment” in the photos instead of them blending together! All together, it just feels more natural without letting the photos turn into a free for all that ends up looking too busy or mismatched.

For this round up, I’m focusing on a red, white, and blue summer (which may or may not be somewhat inspired by our upcoming trip to Nantucket, ha). Just perfect for family vacation. I also like that all of these pieces can easily be reworn and worked into your and your family’s wardrobes– no need for “special” photo-only outfits kids will inevitably grow out of between now and next summer.

I don’t know what I love more– this precious bubble for baby boys (how cute would Rory look!!) or this absolutely DARLING sailor dress. Seriously….can I get one in my size?!
