I`ve been looking forward to cooler temps and fall activities.... and the outfits that go along with them! @saksoff5th is having a sitewide sale now through 9/24– save an additional 25% OFF orders $150+ with code ITSON (excluding select brands and products) The perfect time to stock up on pieces for your fall and winter wardrobe. @CollectiveVoiceHQ #ad #SaksOFF5th

Wearing vs styling an outfit with a bump! I feel so much better when I’m wearing something cute (dress well to feel well maybe?)… I’ve been fighting the temptation to wear comfy clothes while pregnant though! So far I have found blazers and cardigans an easy way to dress up my second trimester bump, especially as we enter fall.

Apple picking throughout the years 🍎 I can’t wait to go this year. It’s one of my favorite fall activities to do… I don’t even care that it’s usually expensive and crowded and basic, I live for it!

Fall for me means tailored blazers, touches of corduroy, and cozy sweaters… @jcrew, as always, has us covered with all the classics! Shop my head to toe look with @shop.ltk #liketkit https://liketk.it/4iOR7 #injcrew #ad

Things I love right now:
🧩 @nytimes Connections
🎃 pumpkin cream cold brews
🎒 Jack’s little red “pack pack”
💁🏻♀️ pregnancy hair

🍂 fall new arrivals

First day of preschool for my brave boy! It’s just a little 2s Montessori program two days a week…. But that big little red backpack got me 🎒✨

When @beaconhillbooksandcafe lives up to the hype and THEN SOME 🐿️ ✨ I got a little tour of this special bookstore from the owner herself and I couldn’t be more grateful. There is something magical about any bookshop, but when one is this thoughtful it’s hard not to fall in love with reading all over again. @sisterparishdesign textiles, @farrowandball coordinating paint, bestsellers & classics commingled on curated shelves. A little squirrel mascot named Paige, with her own story and her own entrance and her own little Boston-inspired house hidden away in the bottom of a shelf. Every detail is perfect, especially those on the children’s floor, where little ones can enter through a tiny door and press a big red button to activate a model train that circles the space.

I would also add a pair of leggings and sunglasses 🙂
Great post! Is this waterlouge or did you water paint this?

This is a GREAT list! The only thing I would add is a v-neck sweater. They can do SO much! Over a collared shirt, under a blazer, with jeans shorts and flip flops in the summer…. I love them!

Ooh I agree with the cashmere sweater!
I would add the perfect pair of jeans; the ones that can be thrown on for running errands, brunch with girlfriends, or casual date nights. It seems like a silly thing, but let's be honest we'd be lost without it.
I love these pieces! My go to pieces are my J. Crew popover, Lucky Brand jeans, leopard flats/heels, and my Gap polka dot dress!

Only thing I would add is a great pair of dark wash skinny jeans! Love this list 🙂

Definitely a pair of jeans! Love this list.
Definitely riding boots! I have one pair in black and another in cognac – they are my uniform October – February. And let's be honest, probably through March this year…
and now i want to go shopping! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
Agreed on all points!
The perfect cashmere sweater, ballet flats, trench coat, and fit-like-a-glove denim or cropped pants!

I totally agree on the "little black dress" however the perfect one is so hard to find. I love the fit and flare style of this one though.

Hi! I love your blog. It has great content and a fabulous layout and style. I would love to see a blog post about how to rep school pride but in a stylish way. I know I hate just wearing boring t-shirts to sporting events. How do you stylize your school pride?
Awesome picks! I would definitely add a good pair of jeans and a cute bikini, that you feel beautiful in!

I'm so trying to do this at the moment, though editing my wardrobe is a lot harder then I thought! Helps to have a list of must have basic/classic items and work from there.

Great list! I would just add black skinnies/leggings and a cashmere pullover 🙂

Depending on your climate, I think a pair of dress boots, riding roots, a long cloth coat, and a peacoat (and cashmere scarf and lined gloves) would be a great addition.
