My best friend, sister, and I had a “Lisa Frank Club” in the cedar closet of the basement. It was amazing. Stickers, unicorns, and rainbows. For six year olds, I really can’t imagine something that could be better.
We had the folders, the Trapper Keepers, the pencils, the stuffed animals, and (of course) the stickers. We were obsessed and simply couldn’t get enough.
Guess what? Lisa Frank is real. This video is awesome and I may or may not want to go visit the factory now. That archive is just incredible!!
Were you a fan of Lisa Frank?
xoxo
PS We also had a Lip Smackers club. That was intense collecting. I remember crying when I found out my friend’s mom had thrown out everything when it melted in a closet one summer. (And I was in middle school then… It was such a coming of age moment. I VIVIDLY remember thinking, “I’m not going to be a kid forever. My childhood melted.”)
Yes! Lisa Frank was awesome and all the cool girls always had all of her supplies! They sell them at the Dollar Tree now – and I may or may not have wanted to stock up. ha!
Ohhh man Lisa Frank represents my childhood! I was obsessed. I had all the folders, notebooks, planners, stickers… I could go on for days! So funny that I'm not alone and that others were obsessed too! Am I too old to go to the factory and buy some supplies?! haha -Alex http://www.monstermisa.blogspot.com/
Oh my gosh I was OBSESSED with Lisa frank. Actually I still sort of am. I don't have any Lisa frank stuff anymore but it's so fun to look at, brightly colored dolphins, pink unicorns, puppies and kittens! What more could a first grade girl ask for?!
Haha! I posted about Lisa Frank this past week because for some reason Kate Spade's Fall line reminded me so much of those fast food stickers I used to put on *everything!*
And your childhood melting is totally worth a few tears. My personal favorite was when I found Dr. Pepper Lipsmackers. I was soooo cool 😉
Oh gosh yes! The pencils with the larger than needed erasers? I couldn't even write well with them but had a collection! I just relived my childhood a bit, thank you for that!
This is such a blast from the past! I had so many Lisa Frank pencils, folders, stickers, etc. you could never have enough of Lisa Frank! I also loved Lip Smackers…I think the Dr. Pepper one was my favorite!
I LOVED Lisa Frank when I was a kid. I definitely had everything I could of LF when I was in elementary school.
Also. I don't follow very many blogs, 23 to be exact, and I'm going to be hosting a giveaway sometime next week once my FB page hits 150 likes (it's got 9 to go!), so I wanted to let you know so you could participate since you're one of those. 🙂 I know I'm a "baby blog" but I'm doing my best to get my voice out there! So I just wanted to let you know.
Oh my gosh! I loved Lisa Frank too! I actually just Googled LF not too long ago to see if her products were still being made. I always wanted all of her book bags, and choosing new LF folders was always a highlight in elementary school. : )
PS: I saw your tweet earlier about the horrendous note someone wrote to you, and I couldn't believe it. You are so wonderful and talented. Please don't take that awful note to heart. Keep going, girl!
I LOVE Lisa Frank! I still by the notebooks when I see them — so cute and colorful! My brother's wife Lisa's maiden name was Frank so naturally my friends and I were a little jealous (we were in our early 20s…)
I love this! I actually still have a lot of Lisa Frank stuff…it makes it so much more fun working on grocery lists or menu plans in an unicorn notebook 🙂 On the occasional weekend, friends and I may still bring out a Lisa Frank coloring book or puzzle!
I’m 36 yo and I still love lisa Frank I tearappart the shelves for her coloring books at the dollar tree if there is only one my hm m and I fight over it she is 42 and so she argues I’m older then you so I say she walks away with the book. I say to her back BRAT meany .
This and yap 🤍 Don’t forget to create holiday magic for yourself too! I can’t tell you how nice it was to do some gingerbread decorating without having to follow a three year old’s vision (or fight the sugar battle)! It’s fun to do it with kids, too, but sometimes you just need coffee, baked goods, and little bit of kid-free catch up time with your mom friends! Thank you for hosting @blueskyehouse!!
I wrote down a list of things I wanted to do for fun in 2024. I crossed off exactly zero of them (having a baby will do that to ya) and my only hope of accomplishing one would be to host a cookie exchange! I wanted to SO bad but I was also feeling exhausted after a long year (losing a dog, having a baby, running a business, etc.) and I didn’t know if I had hosting a party in me. I sent out the invitations and told myself I’d figure it out. There was no going back! It was SO FUN though and I will be doing this again. I feel like so much of the holidays as a mom is spent making the magic for kids. It’s Santa meet and greets, Christmas shopping, holiday pageants…. And then seeing Santa again (and again and again). THIS party was for us! 🥂
🎧 Five 5-Star Audiobooks I Listened to This Year ✨
Audiobooks have been my secret weapon for fitting reading into a busy life. Whether I’m folding laundry, driving to preschool drop-off, or squeezing in a solo walk, I can dive into a story at the touch of a button—and @Audible makes it so easy. This year, I listened to some incredible audiobooks, but these five stood out as absolute favorites:
📚 A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith: A beautifully written coming-of-age classic. I didn’t want it to end and could absolutely see myself re-listening in a few years.
📚 None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell: A psychological thriller with unreliable narrators that kept me guessing the whole way through.
📚 Such a Bad Influence by Olivia Muenter: Part mystery, part family drama—flawed characters, a gripping storyline, and a chef’s kiss ending.
📚 All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker: A masterpiece of storytelling that starts as a serial killer mystery and evolves into something much bigger.
📚 Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors: A stunning exploration of sisterhood, grief, and imperfect people. The ending left me in tears (happy ones!).
#sponsored Bedtime with two little boys can be hectic to say the least! 😅 But I try to do what I can to make the transition smoother and help my baby get the best sleep possible. 💤 Desitin Maximum Strength Baby Diaper Rash Cream is the #1 pediatrician-recommended choice for diaper rash relief. The rich, thick formula creates a protective barrier on Rory’s skin, working for up to 12 hours to treat, heal, protect, soothe, and prevent diaper rash. And after bathtime, we use @aveenobaby Calming Comfort Lotion. This nourishing lotion, made with prebiotic oat, keeps my baby’s skin soft and smooth for 24 hours. Plus, the calming scent is perfect for winding down before bedtime. A little prep goes a long way in making bedtime easier for everyone! 🍼💤 Both are available on Amazon
Holding on for dear life this December ❤️ I have had SO MANY conversations this week with my friends near and far and we are *all* struggling. I have to say, just knowing it’s not just me feeling the pressure of “end of year-holiday magic- cold/flu/stomach bug season-darkest days of the year,” has made it a little easier to handle. Don’t forget to take care of yourself, too 😮💨 (Telling myself this because I could use the reminder too!)

I loved Lisa Frank when I was a kid! I actually still have one of the binders that I keep my old scripts in!

Wow I forgot all about Lisa Frank. Yeah, I had everything. I'm pretty sure I had a LF backpack and lunchbox too.
Well, I never really doubted Lisa's existence. She will always be in my heart…my heart that is so pink and filled with dolphins and pandas.
Your Friend, Jess
Oh my gosh! Yes, I remember this. I literally had everything Lisa Frank when I growing up. I loved the color books.
Oh gosh yes! The pencils with the larger than needed erasers? I couldn't even write well with them but had a collection! I just relived my childhood a bit, thank you for that!
This post hit me right in the childhood. I had Lisa Frank folders for all of my classes and I believe a pencil case and notebook!

I used to love Lisa Frank! I begged my mother over and over again to buy me the Trapper Keeper but she never did.
Still love Lip Smackers. Look at my latest post. 🙂
